A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Legal Graduate with Contracts Administration experience or an experienced Contracts Manager to join the Commercial and Legal team at RJE. You will form a key commercial role for RJE including supporting RJE’s project management teams, pre-contracts department and senior management group. In this newly created role you will be responsible for contract management and providing commercial and legal advice for ongoing projects. The role requires someone with strong commercial acumen, with the initiative to solve problems, manage conflict and mitigate risk. To be successful in the role you will be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously, navigate complex contracts and engage a variety of internal stakeholders including engineers, project managers, general managers and procurement managers.  Key Responsibilities: Reviewing and amending EPC Contracts, BOP/EBOP Contracts and other upstream agreements, highlighting key contractual and commercial risks.  Working with the procurement team to develop bespoke supplier agreements aligning with upstream contractual requirements, including ‘back-to-back’ contracting risk.  Facilitate commercial negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers, including drafting and amending subcontracts.  Assist the project management team in drafting commercial correspondence, including contractual letters, extension of time claims, variations, and general commercial correspondence.  Develop bespoke project document templates and notices to be utilised by the project management team, including delay notices, extension of time claims, variations and separable portion certificates.  Provide commercial advice to project managers on contract interpretation and general commercial support.  Develop dispute management strategies to be implemented by the project management team.   Required: Experience – 2 years as Contracts Manager or a recent Legal Graduate or experience in a similar role.  Understanding of complex contractual frameworks and the ability to work autonomously to negotiate and draft contracts.  Proven ability to understand project requirements, identify key risks and implement project specific risk mitigation strategies.  High attention to detail with concise comprehensive writing skills.  Ability to manage multiple tasks and be a contact point for all contract stakeholders.  Expressions of interest can be sent to [email protected]

The 200MW/400MWh project is being jointly developed by Eku Energy and Shell Energy Australia and once completed will be a significant addition to Victoria's energy transition efforts. Today we bid farewell to one of the greats of the electrical industry, Mark Duval. After a long and successful career Mark has decided to call time on work life and transition into retirement. Not to be outdone by their colleagues in the renewable sector our resources team have been kicking some big goals lately. A brief update about our off-grid projects.   As part of Zenith Energy’s power purchase agreement (PPA) with Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX: BGL), RJE Global have been engaged to provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) activities at the Bellevue Gold Project in Western Australia.   The multifaceted project encompasses a cutting-edge 88MW hybrid power station at the Bellevue Gold Project. This off-grid facility will utilise a combination of wind and solar generation, thermal generation, and battery storage to meet up to 80% of the project’s power needs with renewable energy. Furthermore, the hybrid power solution will allow the project to operate on 100% renewable energy and seamlessly switch to an ‘engine-off’ mode during periods of high renewable energy generation.   The diverse mix of energy sources highlights our commitment to creating a sustainable and resilient power station that aligns with the latest advancements in clean energy technology.   Over the last six months, our collective efforts have been focused on design and construction activities, both on and off-site. Notably, it has been three months since achieving 100% mobilisation on site – a feat that highlights the dedication and teamwork that has become the cornerstone of our success that we all take immense pride in.   Commissioning activities will begin in the new year, which marks a crucial step forward in our journey towards creating a sustainable and efficient off-grid hybrid power station.   As the festive season approaches, RJE Senior Management wishes to express our appreciation to the dedicated Employees, Contractors, and Supply partners whose hard work, effort, support, and commitment have been instrumental in achieving significant milestones in the ongoing Bellevue Gold project.   We want to acknowledge and express our gratitude to those team members and their families who have put in and supported the hard work on site, in particular those who have volunteered to work during the Christmas and New Year period. This achievement represents a significant achievement in our project for RJE Global and our clients. All 640 cubes were efficiently unloaded within 6 months of breaking ground, a testament to the effectiveness of our unique design. This innovative approach is the first of its kind in a BESS Project application.
