Let's talk about pumping control. Advancements in VSD's (Variable Speed Drives) over the years have resulted in improvements in motor control algorithms. A result of this has been the emergence of application macros. For example, using a multi pump application macro reduces the programming complexity and ensures a more efficient outcome. What's even better? Accessing all the information within the VSD without having to use any software or proprietary cables. Allowing your customers, be it a farmer, a maintenance manager or sustainability officer, see what the pump has done over the past weeks, months or years. The inbuilt webserver in the Schneider Electric Drives allows all this...without any cables, cost or limitations! More than just a drive, an entire visual control centre for motor control. See below. Feel good Friday !   Last night we were called to a local customer in Albury for a compressor breakdown. Brad Maloy and Jason Craven were on site with a new Schneider Electric drive. In just 45 minutes we had taken the failed third party VSD and commissioned the new Schneider Altivar VSD. Local support, local stock backed up by world class technology. Next step, to set up remote monitoring!

Day 2 of Festo Australia EA (Electric Automation) training. The Remtron team got a chance to do some hands-on programming of Festo’s advanced drives in the Festo training centre in Melbourne. Our application engineers Harvey Dao, and Andy Bui are putting their programming skills to work to configure Festo rotary and linear drives. The team are covering everything from configuring a system from scratch through to commissioning and testing. Once again Remtron honing their skills with real world applications, so we are better equipped to help you find the most appropriate automation solutions.
