In September Redrawn achieved a significant milestone. We achieved a workforce that closely reflects the people we see in society! Likely a world first for any engineering / drafting firm! All while completing detailed design for heavy industrial clients. Sizing pumps, designing pipes, designing control systems, producing 3D models, and more! Our small business has grown from 3 people to 15 in 2.5 years 🙂 🎉 Thank you to all of our clients, collaborators, and business supporters who have helped us get this far. Redrawn was proud to participate in the Women in Engineering STEM Outreach Program to inspire students at Kadina Memorial School into pursuing a highly rewarding career in engineering! Over the course of three days more than 60 students from Years 7 to 10 participated in various STEM workshops aimed to introduce them to engineering pathways and opportunities. Redrawn’s Eliza and Preethi ran a hydrogen pipeline design challenge, encouraging students to collaborate, think creatively, and problem-solve on real-world hydrogen industry problems. It was rewarding to see the innovation that came out of the group, and we were blown away by their enthusiasm and insightful questions! Redrawn is pleased to welcome Bailey Thompson to our team. Bailey is currently in school and studying a certificate 3 in design engineering. “I am a proud aboriginal artist from south Australia, I love painting, telling stories through my work and showing the emotional connection through art. The reasoning why I wanted to do drafting is my passion for creating and putting my ideas out there for the world to see. I also play a lot of sports, cricket football, love riding dirt bikes and most of all being around family and friends. My biggest goal is to learn more about engineering and designing 2D / 3D objects. Since starting at Redrawn I have become more confident working with technology, I also have a better understanding of CAD and drafting. The biggest take away is that the team isn’t just here for work, we are one community, one family, if you need support anyone will help you with whatever you need. I am keen and excited for what the future holds with my art and excited to complete my certificate 3 and be able to learn more about engineering and CAD throughout my time here at Redrawn”. For the past 3 months I have been working for the Office of Hydrogen Power South Australia to provide engineering support for the Hydrogen Jobs Plan, Whyalla Power Station. It's been exciting to see actual commitment to invest in large scale Hydrogen Production and Power Generation. I've been enjoying problem solving, project challenges, and progressing project work fronts. It will be exciting to see this project as it proceeds towards construction and operation. SA is at the forefront of implementing new renewable technologies! #OHPSA #Hydrogen #Whyalla

We are celebrating Redrawn's 2nd birthday! 🎉 As we reflect on the journey we've been on these last two years, we feel very proud of what we have achieved together with our supportive clients. The truth is that we are very close to achieving our 10 year goals in less than 2 years: ▪ Representation of women matching society. ▪ Representation of women matching society in management. ▪ Representation of people with disability. ▪ Representation of refugees/migrants matching society. ▪ Representation of the LGBTQIA community matching society. ▪ Coverage of multiple engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation/controls, and process). ▪ Completion of numerous projects for heavy industrial clients. ▪ Consistent up-skilling in capability.
