About us
Red Dust Role Models is a non-profit health promotion charity that seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged youth in remote communities. The organisation utilises positive health messages through the Red Dust Healthy Living Program, Strong Young Womens Program, and Strong Young Mens Program. Australian based Red Dust is driven by a commitment to decreasing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians in terms of health and education. Red Dust complements existing health promotion programs and assists schoolteachers, healthcare workers & community leaders to encourage healthy lifestyle decisions by: • Highlighting the dangers of drug, alcohol and other substance abuse • Setting examples of healthy eating, good nutrition and proper hydration • Encouraging participation in physical exercise and sport • Teaching and modelling good hygiene practices • Raising funds for infrastructure projects • Partnering with community leaders as well as health and education professionals to launch new programs and initiatives.

Yarning about our values, our impact and keeping it real. Thanks for the yarn Becky Felstead and to the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) for the opportunity to share our experience - working together to enrich lives, improve health and strengthen the future of Indigenous youth and families. #reddustoz #firstnations #partnerships

It was a pleasure to have the crew Scott Stirling and Jonathan Lindsay-Tjapaltjarri Hermawan from Red Dust on The Resource Podcast during On Air with International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) where we shared a light-hearted yet meaningful conversation around values. One thing that stood out was their commitment to integrity and the way they constantly check in with each other—whether it’s through their reconciliation programs, creating First Nations employment opportunities, or their innovative products like the Red Dust Role Models Bamboo Toothbrush. Red Dust’s work is more than a job; it’s a mission to drive real change by supporting remote Indigenous communities and empowering organisations and individuals to actively engage in Reconciliation. Utju's Cyber Bullying Program! The Red Dust team collaborated with the talented students at Areyonga School. Together, the team crafted a storytelling book written in Pitjantjatjara, exploring the important themes of cyber safety and cyberbullying. During the week, the team also adventured through Kings Canyon, taking in the beautiful landscape at sunrise. To cap it all off, the team joined forces with the Remote Pools Project for a community swimming carnival to celebrate the week of activities. #reddustoz #northernterritory #utju
