About us
As the gateway to Western Australia, Perth Airport is Australia’s fourth largest airport in terms of passenger traffic and plays a vital role in the economic and social development of the state. Only 12 kilometres from the heart of Perth, the capital of Western Australia, the airport is part of a 2,105 hectare estate that offers significant aeronautical infrastructure, and high quality commercial and industrial developments that are primely located near major access corridors. Perth Airport is operated by Perth Airport Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perth Airport Development Group Pty Ltd, under a 50-year lease with a 49-year option granted by the Commonwealth Government in 1997. Perth Airport is closely involved with Tourism WA in promoting Western Australia as an attractive destination for overseas visitors and has a strong focus on working with airlines to increase the number of passengers travelling to and from Western Australia. With over 14 million passengers travelling through the airport annually, and this number anticipated to double to 29 million passengers by 2034, Perth Airport is making significant investments to meet growing demand and create a world class airport experience.

On Sunday we said au revoir and bon voyage to Qantas’ new direct service between Perth and Paris. It’s fantastique to welcome another direct service between Perth and Europe. The 787-9 Dreamliner service cuts three hours off the current travel time between our two cities. #PerthAirport #PerthtoParis #Qantas

We’ve recorded our highest ever annual passenger numbers in FY24, breaking the 16-million passenger mark for the first time. In FY24 more than 16.1 million passengers travelled through Perth Airport, easily outstripping the previous record figure of 14.9 million in FY14. With Western Australia’s aviation sector soaring we are getting on with the job of investing more than $5 billion in new infrastructure to provide the additional capacity our airline partners need to grow their businesses. Over the coming decade we will expand the international terminal, and build new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey carparks and our first airport hotel. This will deliver one airport for the people of Western Australia which will host all flight services in a central location giving passengers a seamless, world-class travel experience. https://lnkd.in/g6rPYc6E

We are currently undertaking works as part of an Airfield Pavement Renewals project with our contractor West Coast Civil Pty Ltd. Upgrades and regular maintenance of our runways and taxiways are essential in ensuring continued safe operations at Perth Airport. To enable these works, the main runway (03/21) and the cross runway (06/24) will be temporarily closed at different times until the works are completed in March 2025. Take a look at what goes into the works ... For more information, please visit https://lnkd.in/g9XVV9c7 #PerthAirport #RunwayWorks #AirfieldPavementRenewals
