Earlier this month, Bianca Luck, NSW Director and Branch Manager, proudly announced Abbie Jane as the winner of the Young Achiever Award on behalf of people2people at the 2024 ACON Honour Awards. Abbie was recognized for her remarkable campaigning efforts in promoting rainbow inclusion and equality through the Rainbow Shoelace Project. This initiative, created by 12-year-old Abbie Jane from a remote outback town in NSW, encourages people to show their support for the LGBTIQ community by wearing Pride-coloured beads on their shoelaces. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners for the hard work they are all putting in to make a difference and build a more diverse and inclusive world.
