Built to overlook the North Sea, Westerpunt also acts as a landmark, informed by the idea that "the journey is the destination". Representing one of its most ambitious projects to date, ForPark is thrilled with the completion of Copper City playground. The largest and most challenging project undertaken by the play specialists, ForPark’s playscape blends seamlessly with the surrounding terrain, reflecting the copper mining history of the area. To realise the brief for the project of a visually stimulating playscape, ForPark utilised its Elevate range to create a triple tower play structure as its centerpiece. A main tower soaring to 3.4 meters in height takes centre stage, offering fully enclosed platforms, an 8-meter slide, custom waved roofs and bespoke net bridges. Helping to light up a community, market-leading illumination specialist CU Phosco Lighting replaced 43,400 street lanterns across Suffolk County roads with LED upgrades. Launched by EA SPORTS, the Sam Kerr football pitch stands as part of its FC™ FUTURES program, an initiative that “meaningfully invests in community-level football through product innovation, community investment and partner initiatives across the foundations of football.” Constructed at Auburn’s Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) centre in Auburn, New South Wales, the pitch is a celebration of Kerr as an icon for girls around the world. Made using APT’s own Australian-made yarn, it also features exclusive Coolplus technology, which keeps the surface up to 20 percent cooler than other artificial turfs. Architecture studio Snøhetta has combined form and function at the Blanton Museum of Art with the installation of petal-shaped sculptures. High above the surrounding homes in the outer Melbourne suburb of Tarneit, Grand Central Park’s new play tower truly lives up to the name. It takes a really special tree with special offerings to be called a feature tree. Often used to break from single-species planting, to frame an entrance or as a focal point for the eye, a feature tree needs to live up to great expectations and offer amazing colour, structure, texture and/or form.
