In support of Singapore’s marine biodiversity, we are excited to partner Singtel and National Parks Board to uplift marine conservation efforts at Sisters' Islands Marine Park! The park was officially opened today by Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development & Minister-in-charge of Social Services Integration, after months of closure for rejuvenation works. An underwater camera system with video analytics to detect marine life and objects at the tidal lagoon will be deployed to allow for real-time observation of the thriving ecosystems. Live footages, powered by Singtel's 5G network, will be streamed to a dedicated portal, enhancing marine research and education. Students across the country can virtually explore the underwater world and gain deeper appreciation for Singapore's marine biodiversity. Marine researchers and conservationists will also have invaluable access to real-time data, aiding in crucial studies and conservation efforts.
