Green Apple – our eMagazine for Navitas educators – Issue 13 is out now! Launched in 2020 against the backdrop of the global pandemic as a means of connecting and engaging our people, Green Apple has evolved to become a place to share impactful interviews and stories, information to build skills and knowledge, and vital industry news across the Navitas network. It’s fitting that Issue 13 was released on the same day we celebrated World Teachers’ Day (5 October), as many teachers contributed their wisdom and experience to make this publication a must read. Not only does this issue feature the voices of our inspiring teachers, we also hear from our education specialists and those who support our students on a daily basis. Among the highlights; Navitas Skilled Futures teachers, Sheera L. and Michelle Barons, share their experiences of visiting our Navitas Education Trust partner, Classroom of Hope, in Lombok, Indonesia. Find out how South Australian Institute of Business & Technology (SAIBT) is combating loneliness among students by hosting speed-friending events, Fraser International College is transforming the lives of refugee students, and The Hague Pathway College is fostering social awareness and inspiring action among their students. Kristie Marshman shares her experience of living and working in a neurodiverse world, and our 2024 INSPIRE winners share what winning the award means to them. This issue also features the biggest collection of Green Apple profile pieces yet! Discover what passions drive Hala Mansour, David Crowe, PhD, Frank Saunders, Petar Stojanovic, Sajani Dias, Felicity Inns PhD, PFHEA, and Mohammed Imtiaz to excel in their role. A big thanks to our other stars who contributed to this special issue - Harsh Singh, Caroline Burrowes, Matt Stanton, Pip Allen, Leeanne D'Arville, Fiona West, Dan Hurley, APR, Navit Asres, Karen M.cRae and Jamie McGeorge. ICP (International College Portsmouth), SAE University College Aus, Australian College of Applied Professions, La Trobe College Australia, Edith Cowan University - Sri Lanka, International College of Manitoba (ICM).

Wishing all our amazing teachers a very happy World Teachers’ Day! This day provides a wonderful opportunity to pause, and consider the incredible work of teachers, not only in helping Navitas achieve its purpose of transforming lives through education, but also in shaping the aspirations and careers of our students. More than most other professions, teachers can make a lasting impression. It is often teachers that spark a lifelong passion, introduce students to new ideas and motivate them to aim higher. Today, we take this opportunity to acknowledge Navitas teachers in every corner of our global organisation who play such an important role in helping us fulfil our purpose. Thank you for every spark you light, every new thought you provoke, and every time you inspire your students to reach further. Happy World Teachers' Day! #WTD2024

Last week, hundreds of excited staff across Navitas joined an all-employee webinar to listen as Navitas Group CEO Scott Jones announced the 2024 winners of our employee recognition program, the INSPIRE Awards! Representing our value of 'Genuine', The Life Changing Lens Award recognises individuals who are helping create genuinely life-changing opportunities for students at any point in the student journey. It's the award that aligns most closely with our purpose of transforming lives through education, by recognising our people who possess qualities that enable them to help change students' lives for the better. Congratulations to our 2024 Life Changing Lens Award winner, Suzan Khadem, Trainer, Navitas Skilled Futures ! 🎉 🎉 🎉 Suzan has had an extraordinary impact by helping hundreds of migrants successfully pass their citizenship tests, which allows them to embrace new opportunities and fully integrate into Australia. Not only did Suzan design and implement a comprehensive training program, but she also provided immense emotional support, genuinely caring for the well-being and success of each learner. This created an overwhelming demand for the Citizenship preparation course with migrants from all over Sydney enquiring about her class. Congratulations Suzan! #employeerecognition #awardwinners #celebratingexcellence
