essential oils from wild-harvested Australian native botanicals transformed into the highest quality natural skincare
About us
Native Secrets uses an abundance of traditional native plants such as Gumby, White Cypress, Quandong and Gideya to heal the skin naturally. The leaves are often hand-picked to ensure that no damage is done to the original plant enabling it to be used by future generations. Being aware of the ingredients you apply to your skin is crucial. The unique properties in the medicinal plants have been known to assist with many skin disorders such as eczema, acne, and psoriasis. In everything we do we believe in creating an emotional connection with people and create an experience where people come together to share their stories. We are proud to be 100% aboriginal owned and determined to continue to share our knowledge and stories.

We gained first-hand experience during our visit to the Australian Strategic Materials (ASM) Dubbo Project, where we learned that it will employ up to 1,000 workers during construction and provide 270 full-time jobs once the mine is operational. We also met with Phil Thompson, co-founder of Native Secrets who showed us how they help ASM manage Black and White Cypress Pine in ASM’s biodiversity offsets. We also visited the Toongi Pastoral Company, which integrates agricultural activities with the management of the Dubbo Project’s biodiversity offsets. Michael Sutherland, Justine Campbell

“Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration” – this year’s theme for World Environment Day (5 June) focusses on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience. As we know in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, Country is at the heart of what connects us, and is an integral part of our overall ecosystem. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people speak of Country how they speak of a person. It sustains a way of living – spiritually, emotionally, physically, culturally, and socially. For World Environment Day, we reflect back on the 2021 NAIDOC theme, “Heal Country”. It was a call out to all of us to seek greater protection of our lands, seas, waterways, sacred sites and our cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration, and destruction. That message is still relevant today. As a nation, it is important for us to get involved and work towards a more sustainable future. #GenerationRestoration #WED2024
