Building Genuine Partnerships

About us

As Australia’s leading interior fitout and refurbishment company, we are a business built on delivery, trust and ongoing service – three essential pillars of genuine partnerships and long-term relationships. We think big and act small - we’ve got the experience and resources of a large business, but the service philosophy of a small business. Our delivery is tailored to suit your specific requirements and project outcomes. As a partner and not simply a contract, we are involved in all aspects of project delivery, including managing design consultants, deriving optimised value management, coordinating documentation and seeking statutory approvals. Our service is end-to-end, incorporating on-site construction, facilitating handover documentation and providing the occupancy certificate at practical completion. This service also extends to post practical completion client care, meaning support across our works throughout the warranty period and beyond, should you require it.

Actively supporting PIF and young Aussies without a home There are over 46,000 young people experiencing homelessness without support. We each have the power to do something about this.    MPA is extremely proud to come together alongside our industry partners and support the Property Industry Foundation (PIF) in our common goal to build safe, secure and welcoming homes for marginalised and at-risk young people.    We are pleased to share that one of our own Emerging Leaders, Jake Padwick, has been appointed as a member of the NSW Future Leaders with PIF. Jake will join Sarah Hogan GAICD in actively supporting PIF.   “As one of MPA’s Mental Health First Aid Officers, the role with PIF aligns well with my passion to promote the importance of mental health and his belief that every person deserves a chance in life, regardless of their stature in society. I am eager to further my knowledge and interest in promoting not only a safe and sustainable workplace but also safe and sustainable housing for young people,” Jake says.    One of the first initiatives Jake will work on, is joining Sarah in championing the 2024 Tour de PIF for Homeless Youth to raise much-needed funds and awareness for PIF. This is MPA's first year as the proud Run Partner for the fitness challenge.    This is a great chance to come together with industry peers and cycle, run or walk to fundraise and help provide a safe home for young Aussies.    Sign up today: https://lnkd.in/gn83hkgH

While our team can be heavily focused on the quality and the install process during a commercial fit-out, they often do not see the completed picture of the space to realise the subtle impact an architectural stair can have in an environment where so much consideration has been made towards making the owners and their clients feel special. If you were evaluating a business's attitude towards its people and clients, this fit-out at Holding Redlich is a perfect example of its commitment to excellence. We liked the iconic Melbourne tram too! Shout out to MPA for their professionalism in making this transformation a smooth exercise. We enjoyed making this architectural design piece a reality. Located on Victoria Street McMahons Point, EndemolShine Australia leased an adjoining property on Holt Street with the intention to connect the two buildings for flow through access. Adding 2,500-plus sqm to the Sydney workplace to accommodate the production and postproduction businesses, as well as a new board room, Endemol appointed MPA as the construction partner. We were able to use our extensive experience gained from being engaged early on projects and apply it here with a focus on budget, quality and management of risks to deliver Endemol’s dream workplace. With a collaborative solution-driven approach – where everyone from consultants to subcontractors had each other’s back throughout – a positive attitude was always maintained and meant there were a lot of happy faces and great relationships made through the process of bringing the project to life. “You've built our dream office and you have been an absolute pleasure to work with throughout. Thank you to you and your incredible team at MPA. From our first introduction, it was clear that the investment MPA makes in its people is what sets it apart from its peers. The care, commitment, and professionalism Murray, Shameem and Thomas have shown towards everyone at ESA and the project has been outstanding. Thank you for delivering a result that we can all be proud of,” says Anna Kenny, Facilities and Operations Manager, EndemolShine. On UNESCO World Day for Cultural Diversity, we held “A Breakfast for Good” for teams collaborating on a workplace project for Property and Development NSW (PDNSW). Located above Sydney Metro Gadigal Station in Parkline Place at 252 Pitt Street, coming together with Investa, PDNSW, and Two Good Co, was a chance to celebrate the cultural diversity of our combined teams on this project, while also supporting our social impact partner, Two Good Co, in their work to change the course of the lives of vulnerable women. It was lovely to see everyone take time out from the day and connect over breakfast while recognising the diversity amongst us and the various backgrounds and experiences we come from. It’s important to MPA to bring people together and work collaboratively with our partners to support the communities around us. At the end of the day, creating moments of connection that lead to a greater awareness of the stories and lives of the people within our community is what it’s all about. With thanks to our speakers, including William T. from YarnnUp who did the Acknowledgment of Country, Trevan Robinson from Investa, Tanya Lanycia from PDNSW, and Rob Caslick from Two Good Co. Located at 181 William Street and spanning 1,974sqm, this Melbourne workplace is home to highly regarded national law firm, Colin Biggers & Paisley (CBP). CBP’s brief when they set on this project to adapt their space, was to create a workplace to reflect their expertise and commitment to collaboration, technology, and diversity, as well as create a space to foster a culture of inclusivity and social responsibility. Working alongside Woods Bagot and DBS through the ECI and construction phase, together we were able to strengthen the workplace experience and provide more flexibility for CBP. This was achieved by working with the architecture to open up the floor plate, soften the built form with new insertions to overlay curvaceous forms, and adding personality with furniture and joinery that offers detail and colourful accents to inject character of place and touches of playfulness. The design includes quality finishes, fixtures and furniture, the use of natural materials such as timber and stone, and the addition of audio-visual equipment. Standout features that are key to the workplace offering include The Hub complete with a kitchen, and social space with green canopies brining nature amongst the built forms and adding a sense of calm. The work area is made up of a variety of workstations, catering to multiple work styles and flexible meeting rooms with operable walls and folding tables. This also creates the option of an adaptable function space and a reception area that doubles as a bar. The space also includes a quiet room, wellness room, first aid room, IT and utilities rooms and a mail room. We wanted to thank, Acuity, Woods Bagot, and DBS Consulting Australia, who were our partners in bringing this project to life. #mpaprojects #workplace #workplaceofthefuture #construction #builder #sydneyconstruction #workplacefitout #buildinggenuinepartnerships #workplacedesign

Looking to create a more versatile workplace, Transgrid wanted to reposition their office environment to reconnect the team, foster community, and support collaboration. Set across four floors and over 6000sqm at 180 Thomas Street in Sydney’s Ultimo, we were engaged through a competitive tender process to deliver the construction of the workplace fitout. Features include an agile working model by way of varied workspaces, including centralised collaboration zones, informal spaces, and focus pods to provide choices and flexibility when it comes to styles of work. Key to the goal of enhancing collaboration and building on culture, was the revitalisation of the Winter Garden, a collab area that can also be used as townhall space. Elsewhere, the front-of-house rooms were crucial for improving the client experience, promoting a welcoming atmosphere, and integrating indigenous elements, celebrating ties with local communities. With safety, sustainability and making a positive impact core values for Transgrid, existing elements were retained during the repositioning of the workplace, such as back-house meeting rooms and repurposing the timber blades from original telegraph poles for tiered seating in the Winter Garden. Not just a sustainability measure but to also symbolise community and history for the townhalls held in the space. Congratulations to all of our partners involved in bringing this transformation to life, including Alba Project Management, Gray Puksand and Aston Consulting and Steve Watson & Partners

Looking to relocate their workplace from Angel Place on Pitt Street, MPA was engaged by the Australian Financial Markets Association (AFMA) on an early contractor involvement basis, to design and construct their new fitout at 45 Clarence Street, Sydney. AFMA’s existing fitout was dated, and downsizing slightly from 408sqm to 320sqm, the goal was to create a better layout with more functional space. The new workplace also needed to offer a warm and welcoming environment with open-plan workstations, supported by meeting rooms with AV capability and kitchen and collaboration areas. Our internal design team brought to life the client's vision, which included creating a bespoke residential feel with the exposed ceiling in the kitchen/breakout area; a welcoming front of house zone; a boardroom, comms and storeroom; a CEO office; and multiple types of workspaces to support a variety of work styles, these include two focus rooms, a meeting room, and 15 sit-to-stand workstations. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this space to life. Looking to relocate their workplace, a financial services business engaged MPA early on an ECI basis to deliver the fitout of their new space at 100 Mount Street in North Sydney. In an A-grade Dexus building we had previously delivered a project for a luxury global brand in, we were able to offer the benefit of relationships built and our knowledge of the nuances of the building – including guidelines, access, and protocols – to the program we designed. A home for 20 team members, the new workplace includes executive offices, both open-plan and enclosed workstations, utility store and comms room. With high-end and bespoke furniture and finishes around every corner, there’s also a private-dining room to entertain clients in with a customised premium commercial kitchen, a feature glass wall, screen and guest lounge at the front of house, parquetry floor with inlaid rugs and solid timber joinery throughout. By being engaged early on this project, we were able to identify that the commercial kitchen required extensive underslung works in the occupied tenancy on the level below, including modification of existing services to facilitate drainage falls. The benefit of an ECI engagement meant we undertook inspections prior to determine extent of works and gain approval from landlord and tenant and completed installation of new drainage and modification of existing services over weekends to avoid any disruption to the tenant – and ultimately deliver this new workplace on time.   Thank you to our partners who we worked alongside to bring this project to life: Sandstone Project Management, Hammond Studio Pty Ltd, Aston Consulting, WT (Australia). #mpaprojects #workplace #workplaceofthefuture #construction #builder #sydneyconstruction #workplacefitout #buildinggenuinepartnerships #workplacedesign
