Avalon Airport is Flying Made Easy. As part of its future outlook, Avalon Airport is aiming to increase airlines, destinations and frequency of flights both nationally and internationally. The Avalon Airport Industrial precinct was launched in 2016 by the State Government, with Cotton On Group as the anchor tenant. Several hangars are leased by businesses in manufacturing and tech industries, who require access to both Melbourne and Geelong and to freight and logistics opportunities. Avalon Airport is establishing itself as a major employment and economic centre of the Melbourne – Geelong corridor. The airport is also the home to the Australian International Airshow, a biennial event that will be next staged in 2023.
