Penny Cornah, MPAQ’s CEO, attended the Careers for Net Zero Qld Roadshow and the Ministerial Clean Energy Workforce Roundtable today in Townsville. The Clean Energy Workforce Roundtable has been established as a sub-committee of the Ministerial Energy Council to support the collaborative development of workforce solutions for Queensland’s clean energy and hydrogen sectors. At the Roadshow, the Hon. Lance McCullum MP announced that a re-elected Miles Labor Government will build a new $15 million skills and training facility in Townsville that will fuel the region’s green hydrogen industry workforce. This initiative will provide essential skills in plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical services, and it will prepare local workers for opportunities in the expanding hydrogen sector.
