Maritime Survey Australia Marine Surveyors are completed the Domestic Commercial Vessel Renewal survey in Echuca Victoria on the MV Mary Ann while dry docked. MV Mary Ann is a 22.5m, Steel, Class 1E vessel operating on the Murray River with up to 132 Passengers. The Moama RSL Club operated the vessel from 2014 to 2024 and now the new owners are refitting the vessel to return it to the Murray operating as a cruising restaurant. The MV Mary Ann vessel has been a popular icon on the Murray River in Echuca for over 25 years. Built in 1908, the Moama Slipway on the Murray River in NSW is operated by locals Adam Auditori (Shipwright) & Angela Mead of Murray River Marine Services. Maritime Survey Australia is completing the renewal survey which also includes the Ultrasonic Thickness testing on the vessels steel hull. Our surveyors use proven non-destructive testing methods to assess both hull thickness, and any hull defects or damage that may be present. Hull damage could potentially grow into a larger safety hazard for both the personnel and cargo on board if left unchecked.
