Mannix Young Hearts is bridging generations! 💕 This semester, our students have been connecting with residents at Corpus Christi Aged Care Residence, sharing stories, learning new skills, and building lifelong memories. Our partnership with VMCH fosters a vibrant sense of community, enriching lives across generations. As Alice, a Mannix resident, shares, “It’s good to have that connection with the older generation, and there’s so much we can learn from them.” Together, we’re building meaningful relationships that bridge the gap between young and old. Read the full story at https://lnkd.in/gnf9H777 Intergenerational volunteering strengthens community bonds, reduces isolation, and promotes learning by connecting younger and older generations. It fosters empathy, improves mental well-being, and encourages lifelong volunteering. Older adults stay active, while young people gain valuable skills and perspectives. This mutually enriching experience bridges generational gaps and enhances personal growth for all involved. with Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne & Monash University #volunteering #MakingADifference #melbournecatholic
