🌱 This month, with a focus on environmental awareness, we've seized the opportunity to spotlight our Sustainable Futures team. During the recent Manningham Nursery Open Day, our staff had the chance to delve into the workings of our nursery, guided by the expertise of our resident green thumbs - Michael, Clare, Hugh, and Terry.   🌿 Activities ranged from mastering the art of sowing seeds to propagating cuttings and potting up plants.   Annually, we grow up to 2,000 advanced trees along with over 15,000 shrubs and grasses destined for our parks, reserves, bushland areas and nature strips. 🙌 These help preserve and enhance Manningham's greenspaces. 🍃 Look at all these happy green thumbs! The kids from Good Start Learning Centre joined our Parks team for a day of planting to celebrate World Environment Day. These kids love their local reserve and now get to watch as their plants grow! 🙏 A massive thanks to our teams for all their efforts. 📍 Landscape Reserve in Doncaster East. After receiving more than 800 applications for our first graduate program, we’ve proudly welcomed five new team members to Manningham! The program enhances entry level opportunities across Council, while offering graduates the chance to start their careers in roles directly related to their study. Graduate Performance Analyst, Chara, brings fresh insights from Monash University's Bachelor of Applied Data Science (Honours) program. 📊 "It’s a great entry to the workforce as you’re surrounded by a supportive team. I’ve been given the opportunity to get really involved in projects that will positively affect residents’ experiences with us,” Chara said. At Manningham, we believe in empowering young professionals like Chara to make a real impact in our community. Keep an eye out for more career opportunities and join us in shaping a more inclusive Manningham! 🌍💼 #GraduateProgram #LocalGovernmentCareers #WeAreManningham Andrew Day Kerryn Paterson Lee Robson Rachelle Quattrocchi Andrew McMaster
