𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐜𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 The Minister for Health, the Hon. Mary-Anne Thomas MP, is pleased to invite applications for part time board director positions at Echuca Regional Health. The positions start on 1 July 2025 and appointments are for up to three years. These positions provide an exciting opportunity for Victorians to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our communities. Applicants are selected for their capabilities, including personal and professional experience, knowledge, and skills that contribute to the strategic leadership and oversight of health care for the Victorian community. The Victorian Government is committed to ensuring that government boards reflect the rich diversity of the Victorian community. This includes diverse leadership of the health system that represents the variety of backgrounds and cultures of Victorian communities to enable the vision of achieving the best health, wellbeing and safety for everyone. To build an empowered and engaged leadership across the health system, our priority areas are people of all ages, First Nations people, people who live with a disability, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, people who identify as LGBTIAQ , the promotion of gender equality and upholding human rights. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the capabilities identified in their applications. All applications will be considered however the board would particularly welcome applicants from people with expertise in asset management, financial management and accounting, patient experience and consumer engagement. Echuca Regional Health is very proud to announce that one of our valued employees Carmel Beck was last night named Employee of the Year at the Campaspe Murray Business Awards. Carmel is the Manager of the ERH Dental Clinic and has been a team member at ERH since 1981. Carmel has provided leadership to significant growth in our oral health service over that time and has done so in complete alignment with our values. We are so grateful for her contribution and are enjoying celebrating this moment with her. ERH was also very pleased to win the Best Professional Community Service (Large) award. A testament to how our business practices have evolved to ensure that as our organisation has grown (quickly!) that we have ensured we have used sophisticated approaches to planning and innovative business management methods to provide a safe, calm and connected place to work and receive care whilst ensuring we were sustainable. An amazing day for the Northern Mallee with the opening of the new state of the art simulation centre by La Trobe University. This centre named in honour of Dr Deb Neal will be the cornerstone for workforce into the future. Also today with Theo Farrell and on behalf of Mildura Base Public Hospital we signed a new five year MOU. This MOU will strengthen the incredible partnership between our agencies, drive research and outcomes further then ever for our communities. The Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) has officially launched their new Patient Transport Vehicle, which has been 100% funded by the hospital’s Foundation. The new transport vehicle will serve the communities of the Northern Mallee, including Ouyen, Robinvale, and Wentworth. This initiative will provide a more cost-effective and efficient way of transporting patients from the hospital to their residence or primary place of care.
