DID YOU KNOW? We have developed Australian Industry Capability for the sustainment of sensors and systems at our in-house Mission Equipment Service Centre in Cairns. This is the only facility of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere to offer specialised support for: ✈ Electro-Optics/Infrared (EO/IR) ✈ MX-series turrets ✈ Radars ✈ Surveillance sensors ✈ Integrated surveillance systems This means we have on site support for the surveillance sensors and systems on board our fleet of highly modified Dash 8 and Challenger 604 aircraft, enhancing the availability of critical systems and significantly reducing repair turnaround times. Beyond our fleet, we also provide vital support to Defence, State Police, State Fire Services, Australian Government Agencies, as well as international government agencies and emergency services. ❤ Supporting our communities ❤ Through our Darwin Community Fund, we are thrilled to be supporting the Slide Youth Dance Theatre’s production of their performance of ‘Beautiful’ which will be held in December at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. Beautiful is a new, original work exploring the topics of identity, body image and self-worth and focussing on young people being their authentic selves. Several of our Darwin-based families have links to Slide Youth Dance Theatre, which is renowned for effectively communicating critical messages to young audiences in a sensitive and thought-provoking manner, triggering vital discussions. #LeidosAustralia #AirborneSolutions #Darwin #Community

Well done to our Leidos teams for raising over $5,000 so far for Bravery Trek! Bravery Trust's annual trek celebrates the service of Australian veterans, specifically those who serve and have served during contemporary wars – and raises vital funds to provide financial support for veterans facing hardship. 70% of veterans who receive support from Bravery Trust are aged 50 years or younger. There is still time to donate to this year’s Bravery Trek before it finishes on Saturday 12 October. To mark R U OK? Day we were joined by founder of Zest Learning Robert Hart. Robert shared his tips with us on promoting mental clarity, concentration, awareness and renewed focus on better mental health However, this year’s theme ‘R U OK? Any Day’ encourages us all to have this conversation more than once a year. That is why we are pleased to launch our new Leidos Australia Initiative – our Mental Health Support Program. 39 of our team members have been professionally trained to act as Mental Health Support Persons (MHSP) for our team members. At Leidos Australia we want to make sure our team members are ok, every day. #LeidosAustralia #RUOKDay2024 #MentalHealth

Leidos has been awarded a $191 million contract by the U.S. Army to advance software development for critical military operations. Under this contract, Leidos aims to continue modernising mission software for the U.S. Army, including implementing cyber-hardened programs, system engineering and technical services. Sector President, National Security Roy Stevens remarked that “for the U.S. Army to deliver precise, longer-range fires to counter continuous innovation from near-peer threats, they need software systems capable of incremental modernisation.” The contract’s work will support the Army’s Communications-Electronics Command Software Engineering Center, C3T Directorate and Fires Division. Applying our expertise in DevSecOps, we will sustain and upgrade fires systems and integrate third-party applications supporting the vision for the Army of 2030 and beyond.” Here at Leidos Australia, we are looking for opportunities to use these capabilities and our expertise to support the Australian Army’s challenges as it expands its long-range fires capability in the future. Visit us at Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition stand C083 to find out more. #DefenceIndustry #Australia #GlobalPartnerships #Cybersecurity #Innovation

We have signed an agreement with Lockheed Martin Australia to provide software development, cyber security and verification and validation services in support of the development of the Australian Defence Force’s next generation Joint Air Battle Management System under Project AIR6500. Under this contract we will provide support to the Joint Air Battle Management System enterprise in the domains of cyber security, modelling and simulation, and validation. This work will support Lockheed Martin Australia in building a highly robust and secure open systems architecture for AIR6500 that will provide Defence with an advanced integrated air and missile defence capability to combat current and future threats. We are proud to work with Lockheed Martin to integrate intelligence and situational awareness information into the AIR6500 Joint Air Battle Management System from our JP2096 intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platform. This capability enables analysts to quickly search, collate and assimilate information from multiple databases, delivering more complete information in a reduced timeframe thereby enabling swifter, better informed, decision making.
