Yesterday evening, JPE had the pleasure of attending the official opening of the Year 7 Learning and STEM Hub by the Minister of Education, Blair Boyer MP, at Adelaide High School alongside the people who were critical in making it happen. Congratulations Cezanne Green and Jim Dounas for your unwavering leadership throughout the project, supported by Helen Doyle, Department for Education, South Australia, Department for Infrastructure and Transport and Roland Greiner. It was great to see Lucy Hood MP, previous minster of education John Gardner in attendance for the opening of this important development for the school and state. At JPE, we are truly passionate about education and how design can enrich student experience. As the oldest architectural firm in South Australia, we understand legacy and the importance of Adelaide High School to our city and state. Adelaide High School was the first public secondary school in the Australian Commonwealth and we have been privileged to partner with the school community over the past decade to plan, expand and upgrade its State Heritage listed buildings to uplift educational outcomes. We designed and delivered the new Year 7 Learning and STEM Hub building during covid with the vision of creating a new campus heart and connection to the Park Lands while providing students state of the art collaborative spaces and technology. To see the students engaging with creative learning practices throughout the building and talking with such pride was cause for celebration. We would like to thank Adelaide High School for hosting us. Congratulations to the team, BADGE Constructions, WSP, KD Certifiers, EKISTICS, Rider Levett Bucknall RLB , Chappell Builders Pty Ltd.

We recently had the pleasure of handing over Mary Mackillop Tenison Centre – the historic Catholic school’s first major upgrade in a decade, named for Father Julian Tenison Woods. The long-awaited new building welcomes the community to the school’s main entrance, and the modern, curved façade is designed to have an identity of its own while blending with the existing buildings. The new multi-storey building is home to the College’s science and art faculties and includes specialist science laboratories, chemical storerooms, art and design studios, and breakout spaces. Delivered within an operational school environment, and immediately adjacent to residents, Sarah’s open communication style and collaborative approach to avoiding disruption to the students and staff was integral in delivering the project with the full support of the community. See more here 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/gj2Zz4GF Client: Mary MacKillop College Kensington Architect: JPE Design Studio Structural & Civil: CPR Engineers Services: Lucid Consulting Australia Cost Consultant: Chris Sale Consulting Certifier: BCA Concepts Photographer: Tom Roschi #BuildingGreatRelationships #CollaborationDriven #Construction #ConstructionIndustry #Education

Operations Manager South Australia at KBR Australia

About 6 weeks ago, KBR, Inc. landed itself in our brand-new fit out in Pirie St after a significant time in our Greenhill Rd offices. When designing our new office it was important to me and our other leaders to provide a space that enabled us to live our KBR Values and for it to be an opportunity to further promote positive cultural shifts in the way we work. The design brief with JPE Design Studio was for our office to be a space that was welcoming, comfortable and calming like a 'home away from home' and we have achieved that in spades. The views from our large kitchen on the 21st floor of 30 Pirie St, looking out to the hills, Victoria Square (Tarntanyangga) all the way to the ocean, is a spoil of which we will never tire. We listened to our people with the types of workspaces they wanted and what was important to them. Versatile areas for working was high on the list, along with areas to socialise and gather together as teams and hence the design focused on delivering those elements. I am so grateful that we have been able to achieve this beautiful space for our people and am eager to continue our growth trajectory, welcoming new team members to our brand-new home.
