ICON Developments is pleased to announce our partnership with Icon Oceania in delivering a $265 million luxury lifestyle hotel, and ICON's first hotel project in the Australian market, to the heart of Sydney's CBD — an offering that will herald the next generation of experiential lifestyle hotels as stage 2 plans were officially lodged last week. ICON Developments chief executive Matthew Bourke says, “The project unlocks an exciting opportunity to introduce a new lifestyle hotel brand into the marketplace. Our vision is for this property to become a hotel of choice for corporate, leisure and event guests in the strong-performing Sydney market." Located at 499 Kent Street and the home of the heritage-listed 'RCA House', the 23-storey, 299-key hotel will offer one-of-a-kind experiences drawn from its rich historical narrative, outstanding location and grand scale. Designed by SJB, architecture and interior design plans will include a rooftop bar and infinity pool with expansive city and Darling Harbour views, spacious heritage suites and an Australian-first “Vertigo Suite”.
