Who doesn’t love a weekend of footy? Hansen Yuncken was proud to sponsor the Western Warriors team for the second year in a row at the NSW Koori Rugby League Knockout Carnival in Bathurst over the weekend. Competing in the Under 17’s division this year, the team brought together players from regional and remote communities in NSW, all with tremendous talent and a passion for the sport. While a win wasn’t in the cards this year, it was fantastic to see the team and their families come together for such a major sporting event in NSW. We’re incredibly proud to be part of the Western Warriors family, and to have been able to come on this journey and share in the experience with the team. A big congratulations to all the teams who competed this year, and to the Redfern All Blacks and Walgett Aboriginal Connection for taking out the Women's and Men's Grand Finals! #DrivenByChallenge #BuiltWithPride #CommunityEngagement #KooriKnockout2024

Hansen Yuncken is thrilled to be constructing the state-of-the-art South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) Facility at Mile End. These facilities are set to place South Australia at the forefront of sporting performance and research, supporting our athletes as they prepare for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. As we continue to deliver these leading-edge spaces - alongside the National Centre for Sport Aerodynamics, the upgraded Athletics Stadium, and the soon-to-be-redeveloped SA Netball Centre, we’re excited to help shape the future of sport in South Australia. A big thank you to Premier Peter Malinauskas for highlighting the significance of this project, and to all involved in bringing this vision to life. It's been an award winning week at Hansen Yuncken! After taking out the Australian Institute of Building South Australia Award for $25 million to $60 million only just a month ago, we are thrilled to announce that our Coopers Stadium Redevelopment project has been awarded a High Commendation at the National Awards. The Coopers Stadium Redevelopment was an extensive upgrade to South Australia's premier Football venue ahead of hosting a series of matches for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. Undertaken over two stages, expertly navigating two seasons of A-League football, the redevelopment included a structural steel roof and new corporate facility atop the Eastern grandstand, four new light towers, LED lighting system, media, kitchen and changeroom facilities. We would like to extend our congratulations to the Coopers Stadium Redevelopment Team and our project partners! We were delighted to welcome some VIPs to our site in Gosford last week; Dr Gordon Reid MP, Leisl Tench MP, David Mehan MP, and Adam Crouch MP visited the site to see the teams progress on the University of Newcastle Central Coast Campus project.   The new Central Coast Campus will feature a mass timber frame and unique curved glazed façade. During the tour of the site, our guests were able to get a feel for what the new campus will have in store for the region, including seeing a sample of one of the timber floor plates.   The project is progressing well in the lead up to the arrival of the timber elements that will make up the bulk of the structure. We’re excited to be working with our long time partners to deliver this significant project for the NSW Central Coast region: University of Newcastle and The APP Group   #DrivenByChallenge #BuiltWithPride #MassTimber #TimberConstruction #Education #UniversityOfNewcastle

The Hansen Yuncken team recently had the honour of farewelling NSW Building Commissioner, David Chandler OAM, in a celebration that reflected on his remarkable contributions to the industry.   Our Co-Chair and Executive Director, David Beslich, shared his thoughts on this significant occasion:   “Over the years, Hansen Yuncken has had the privilege of working closely with David as he spearheaded transformative reforms in the high-rise residential market. In the last three years, we’ve partnered with him as Program Manager for the NSW Cladding Replacement works — Project Remediate.   David’s unwavering commitment to elevating industry standards of quality and customer service resonates deeply with us at Hansen Yuncken. We share his belief that the key to achieving this lies in the training and education of the next generation of professionals.   While David’s role may be changing, we are confident that his vision and expertise will continue to shape the future of our industry. On behalf of everyone at Hansen Yuncken and the Project Remediate team, we wish him all the best in his next chapter.”   Thank you, David, for your dedication and leadership.
