    Founder & CEO

Last week I had the opportunity to visit some amazing ranches in Wyoming and Montana as well as participate in the inaugural Matador Ranch Field Day by Impact Ag Partners . The event was attended by Ranch Owners, Managers and beef cattle thought leaders from around the country and showcased some exceptional technology and best practice grazing activities. Thanks to my fellow panelists Coby Buck from AgriWebb and Sam Duncan from FarmLab for adding valuable insights for all and to our hosts Bert Glover and his team. Through shared experiences and knowledge more great innovations and collaborations will come. #agtech #regenerativeag #water #beef #cattle

Members of our Ranchbot team had the priviledge of attending Matador Ranch & Cattle’s Field Day in Dillon, Montana, to engage in discussions around #NaturalCapital, #RegenerativeAgriculture, financial resilience and the regenerative beef supply chain. Andrew Coppin, Co-Founder & CEO, joined Coby Buck, Director of Strategic Accounts at AgriWebb, and Sam Duncan, Founder & CEO of FarmLab, to discuss the generation, measurement and monetization of natural capital. Spanning across 400,000 acres with over 15,000 head of cattle, Matador Ranch & Cattle lead the industry in innovation and sustainability while maintaining the highest standards in agricultural and environmental practices. With the various challenges facing our industry, we are proud to work with such innovative partners. It's events like these that pave a path to resilience and preserve the legacy of #ranching for generations to come.

FarmLab Weekly SITREP – 7 Jun 24 Here’s the dirt on what we got up to this past week: 🏆 FarmLab won ‘Best Scaleup’ at last night’s AusAgritech awards in Melbourne! Huge congrats to fellow participants and nominees including fellow Armidale Agritech business Optiweigh. We're thrilled to be recognized for our work in the Australian Agritech ecosystem & wish we could have been there in person to accept. Well done to the other category winners Cibo Labs Pty Ltd, Agronomeye & Rainstick too! 🪇 We're excited to welcome Colin Williams as our new VP of Business Development! Based in Boulder, CO, Colin brings extensive experience in sales, software, renewable energy, and government. Welcome, Colin! 🤝 On Tuesday, our founder and CEO, Sam Duncan, presented FarmLab to the Consulate General of India. Topics include opportunities for sustainability in agricultural practices and the challenges of meeting ESG goals in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. Special thanks to the UNE SMART Region Incubator for organizing such an amazing event! 📄 The Senate of Canada | Sénat du Canada released a major soil report, recommending a national soils advocate and better market incentives for soil carbon improvement. We're excited to see what this means for soil carbon markets in Canada in the future. Read more at https://lnkd.in/gnfkhSMT 🔄 We launched major updates, including report sharing for analytics reports, allowing agronomists and consultants to generate and share reports via link (open or pin-protected). 🌱 On Wednesday, our Husband and Wife team Benjamin and Amy visited Queensland organic farmers and consultants to discuss data collection for certification. A key topic was testing FarmLab's new organic carbon model and applying locally produced soil conditioners. ⚽🐺Our local under 10's Warwick Wolves football team kicked a few more goals last Saturday. Still a little way off from making the finals but we're optimistic 😉

FarmLab SITREP – 31 May 24 Here's the dirt on what we got up to this last week: 🚀 One of our developers uses his passion for rockets to experiment with a novel approach to collecting soil samples. I think we’ve got a way to go yet before we can deliver our client’s samples via rocket. 😉 🖥️ We released a software update enabling rapid scanning of large properties >10,000ha/20,000acres. Faster processing for regional assessments or large farms/ranches with resolutions scaled down to 30m. 🌱 Sophie and Peter exhibited at the Paraway Pastoral Company Limited field day in Victoria, engaging in insightful discussions with producers on soil carbon management and emissions reduction in the sheep industry. 📱 We were out sampling this week with Precision Pastures, optimizing our mobile app for samplers in the field with better navigation and syncing improvements. 🌏 Oli Madgett attended Soil Science Australia's event in Canberra today which was a success, uniting soil science community, carbon project developers, and DCCEEW/CER. 8 projects credited so far, generating over 180,000 carbon offsets. #Innovation #Agriculture #CarbonOffset

*ANNOUNCEMENT* After 12 months of work as part of the National Soil Carbon Innovation Challenge, we are releasing our initial two versions of the "Zero Point" Soil Organic Carbon % model for use by FarmLab users. 🧑🔬 This model provides an estimate of soil carbon % to 30cm and allows users to precisely stratify for soil carbon to enhance measurement accuracy, particularly in Australian Soil Carbon Offset projects. ⛏️Validation of the model thus far has shown consistent improvement in sampling performance in areas <500ha, even with low sampling density. What does this mean for farmers and consultants? For regulated carbon projects, sampling and testing costs can be reduced to as little as 18 samples across some farms, decreasing the total baselining cost to about $10 per ha.
