We are pleased to share that Fyfe has successfully achieved re-certification from the Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS).   BARS accreditation is the gold standard for aviation risk management worldwide. This means: ➡️ As a BARS accredited operator, the Fyfe team meets the highest service and compliance standards in all drone and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) operations we conduct. ➡️ With a team of over 30 certified pilots, each experienced in navigating demanding and challenging environments, we are well-equipped to ensure safe and compliant outcomes for our clients.   Fyfe relies on the latest technology in RPAS to obtain the geospatial information our clients need to carry out their work efficiently and safely across major infrastructure, mining, renewables, energy, resources, and defence projects.   Learn more about our drone and aerial surveys here: https://lnkd.in/gmmZcu8U   #DroneCompliance #AviationSafety #BARS #AerialSurveys

Fyfe is pleased to share that Scott Youl has joined our NSW survey division as the Rail Team Lead. Scott is a highly experienced surveyor with expertise in rail, cadastral, and engineering surveying, including complex rail shutdown works. Chris Moore, General Manager of Survey, says, "Having Scott join the team means we’re increasing our capabilities in rail surveying and can handle any number of projects across Australia’s extensive and often remote national rail network.” Rail surveys identify issues early and guide infrastructure upgrades, keeping the nation’s people and freight moving. #Geospatial #Surveying

We’re using our hydrogen expertise in Queensland. Fyfe is proud to support Lion Energy Limited's innovative hydrogen generation and refuelling hub at the Port of Brisbane. Once complete, the central refuelling hub will generate and distribute enough energy to power 40 hydrogen fuel cell buses daily. The central hub will also service smaller refuelling stations, which require a much smaller footprint, offering operators an easy way to decarbonise and refuel vehicles in their depots. Aligning with the Queensland Government's carbon reduction strategies, the hydrogen generation and refuelling hub project is set to reshape bus transportation in the state. Learn more below and reach out to Clayton Warner or Jaron Whalley for more information. #Hydrogen #Engineering

Fyfe’s Principal Mechanical Engineer - Hydrogen and Hydrocarbons, Jason Amiri, was a panellist at Connecting Green Hydrogen APAC 2024 this week. He discussed key challenges in achieving low levelised costs and high efficiency in the green hydrogen value chain before widespread adoption.   The levelised cost of hydrogen (LCOH) considers all production expenses, from CAPEX to OPEX, against potential subsidies and by-product profit. It's key to making hydrogen competitive with fossil fuels, driving the shift to cleaner energy.   Efficiency gains come from carefully analysing the technological options for H2 production, storage, and transportation and selecting the best options for each project.   At Fyfe, we specialise in navigating these complexities, offering tailored solutions for each hydrogen project. Our hydrogen leaders, Clayton Warner, Jason Amiri, and Jaron Whalley, were in high demand at Australia’s largest green hydrogen event this week, Connecting Green Hydrogen APAC 2024.   Leveraging our expertise in above-ground facilities, pipelines and hydrogen refuelling stations, we shared our insights on two panels: ‘Mapping a Thriving National Hydrogen Supply Chain with Sophisticated Infrastructure’ and ‘System Methodology to Achieve Low Levelised Cost and High Efficiency in the Hydrogen Value Chain: Production, Operation, and Supply.’   Feel free to contact Clayton, Jason, or Jaron, who are keen to connect and share our engineering insights related to the transition to hydrogen fuel. #engineering #hydrogenenergy

This week, we celebrate NAIDOC Week, and we’re thrilled that it coincides with the arrival of our newest First Nations interns. A warm welcome to Tahanna, who will work in Human Resources (pictured with our HR Business Partner Jayne Di Bella), and Jaiya, who will work in Surveying. At Fyfe, we aim to deepen our understanding of First Nations’ rich contributions to history, values, and culture and contribute to the communities in which we work. In 2021, Fyfe established a First Nations Undergraduate Program, providing paid work experience, mentoring, training, and financial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth. We're proud to continue this initiative from Year 12 and through their tertiary journey.   NAIDOC Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the remarkable achievements, resilience, and enduring culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. #NAIDOCWeek

An excellent outcome for Valley Central! Fyfe was pleased to contribute to this project by providing collaborative project management for structural condition assessment, integrated remedial works, and documentation approvals. We also provided engineering design for the new external structure, modified internal elements, managed geotechnical investigations, and reviewed stormwater systems. Contact our structural lead, Charlie Cudmore or civil lead Zach Collins, for more information on this project.

Creating a vibrant and elevated experience for shoppers, the delivery of the Valley Central Shopping Centre Redevelopment Project was a demonstration of exceptional communication and leadership skills, achieving a high standard of quality and a proud project outcome. Internal and external works were undertaken to accommodate the addition of Fountain Valley Medical Centre, Happy Valley Dental, REVO Fitness, and associated specialty shops, whilst providing the existing centre with an upgraded fitout and services upgrade, new facade, roof replacement, new main front entrance tower, undercover promenade seating along the front of the centre, and associated carpark and landscaping works. Each stage of construction was meticulously planned, working closely with all stakeholders, to ensure the safety and accessibility for all. This project was delivered while the shopping centre remained fully operational. Close collaboration with all stakeholders was fundamental to ensuring that there was minimal disruption to shoppers, tenants, and the general public.
