Development is well underway at FlexCity, our 195,000 sqm site in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. In 2025, FlexCity will see three new warehouses being constructed, spanning 23,838 sqm of industrial and commercial space designed for logistics and light industrial use. Since early August, environmental consultants HPC AG have been working closely with the city of Mülheim an der Ruhr to manage the sustainable demolition on-site carried out by Prangenberg & Zaum Immobilien GmbH, which involved dismantling parts of the existing buildings, clearing the area, and carrying out refurbishments. We are pleased to support leading end-to-end supply chain solutions company efm Logistics as it expands its footprint into Queensland with a five-year lease at our SC1 Archerfield Estate. We recently celebrated the official opening of efm Logistics purpose-built warehouse – spanning 17,788 sqm, with 707 sqm of office space and 173 car parking spaces, featuring 50kW Solar, a 46,400 kL rainwater tank, and a 36m super awning for all-weather capability. The leasing deal at SC1 Archerfield estate is efm Logistics’ second tenancy with us, in addition to its facility in our Rubix Connect estate in Victoria. That’s a wrap on our 100-day team challenge! Over 200 team members across Australia, Europe and Singapore together walked, ran, cycled and swam a total of 72,000kms. It’s a big achievement and something to be proud of. Over the 100 days staff logged their kilometres and shared photos of family activities, run clubs, weekly team walks and group bike rides - all while fighting for top place as the ultimate challenge winner. We’re excited to share that the winning office of our challenge is team Amsterdam with 36 staff members clocking up over 22,000kms. Well done! Congratulations also to Malcolm Johnson, William Villaflor, Damien Morley and Josh Toohey for taking out first place in the walking, running, swimming and cycling categories. Rheinische Gesellschaft für Diakonie gGmbH is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and caring for people in various life situations, offering a wide range of social services, including elderly care, assistance for people with disabilities, child and youth services, and counseling for people in need. At our Remscheid office in Germany, we are supporting the expansion of its nursing academy, providing 430 sqm additional space. We have now finished the upgrades at the office to create fit for purpose areas for nursing classes and training for more than 220 health care students.  “The renovations carried out by Frasers Property Industrial will allow us to continue and expand on the great work we do at Rheinische Society for Diaconia. We’re excited to be able to add four new classes and to continue our important education of the next generation of caregivers in the new space,” – said Halime Tutak, principal of the school. #Logistics #Healthcare

We recently had the pleasure of hearing from Julie Bishop at our FPInfinity event in Sydney as she outlined the latest macro-economic trends across the globe as well as key strategic developments she’s experienced in Australia over time. Ms Bishop also shared valuable tips on decision making and negotiation and key lessons she’s learned along the way in politics, foreign affairs and law. Big thank you to Ms Bishop for joining us at our event, we all learned a lot.

Last week in Sydney we connected with our teams across Australia, Germany, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam for our bi-annual FPInfinity staff event 2024. This event is how we bring our Industrial and Logistics business units together to talk about ideas and strengthen our relationships. It’s the second time we have hosted FPInfinity and we couldn’t be prouder of the experiences we gained over the week. This year our business in Australia is celebrating its 100 year history as a property developer and we used this theme at our event to focus on the next 100 years. What an honour to have our past and present CEOs Bob Johnston, Brendan Crotty, Rod Fehring & Reini Otter share some wisdom about their time at the top. Another highlight of our conference was our keynote speakers Julie Bishop, who openly shared her perspectives on global trends along with some effective decision-making strategies, and adventurer and TV host todd sampson who showed us how to expand our brains and increase mental flexibility. An exclusive black-tie dinner and a long walk from Bondi to Coogee wrapped up our event.
