🚧 All hands on deck for this one 🚧 140 tonne of concrete cut into transport sized panels, lifting cores drilled, lifted out of position and removed off site for recycling within 48 hours. Everyone put in a huge effort on this weekend shut down. The client had a 48 hour window for us to cut and remove the concrete…..we managed to get the cutting and lifting done all within 15 hours. The concrete was stockpiled and taken off site the following week (once the crowd had cleared) for crushing and recycling. This was one of those occasions where everything went exactly as planned. The wallsaws ran flawlessly, the blades were perfect for the job, we had back up machines that had backup machines that had backup machines and the biggest thing, the team just got stuck into it and got it done. Was this luck? Well, there’s always a little bit of that, but it’s probably more so the fact there was weeks/months of planning prior to ensure every little detail was covered. As they say "when there's a will, there's a way". A client required two of these 80 tonne blocks of CAST STEEL (just steel, no concrete) to be cut in half for removal. Each of the blocks measured 3.6m x 3.6m x 1.5m and weight 80,000kgs. We won't lie and say it all went smoothly and as per the original plan. There were problems that nobody could of planned or prepared for, but we managed to overcome them, find a solution and just get it done.
