9 out of 10 Australians don’t get enough Vitamin D from their diets, with most consuming only about half of the recommended daily intake. Vitamin D is crucial for: - Metabolism - Immune function - Bone health - Brain function - Hormonal balance To increase your Vitamin D levels consider: 1. Eating foods rich in Vitamin D: Foods like salmon, tuna, and fortified products. 2. Supplements: A daily dose of 1,000–2,000 IU is typically effective for most people. 3. Getting more sunlight: Aim for 10-30 minutes of midday sun exposure regularly. Get your Vitamin D and 100 biomarkers tested at Everlab: https://lnkd.in/dqb2SdSa

Many think quality of life declines gradually over time, but it’s sudden, critical events—like a heart attack or stroke—that cause sharp drops. Plaque can silently build in your arteries for years before a heart attack strikes, or you could spend years losing muscle mass before a fall breaks a bone. These events lead to a sudden, often irreversible decline in quality of life. You might survive but never fully recover. That’s why it’s crucial to understand your risks early and develop a personalised strategy to prevent these sudden drops. Learn how Everlab assesses your personalised risks for these events: https://lnkd.in/gupZ6nqV

After 15 years in medicine, one key insight stands out: most people don’t know the real threats to their health. I’ve seen patients dedicate hours to aerobic exercise, convinced their heart was at risk due to family history, only to find their cardiovascular risk was low—but they were more vulnerable to cancer, metabolic disease, or neurodegenerative conditions. Conversely, I've also had patients who seemed at low risk for heart disease. Yet, testing revealed extensive arterial plaque that almost led to a heart attack. These are people who are proactive about their health—eating right and exercising regularly—but they have blind spots. Sometimes, despite doing everything right, medications or procedures are still needed. The most valuable step you can take for your health is to understand your personal risk of chronic disease before a critical event occurs. This way, every effort you put into your health gives you the highest possible return. Learn how Everlab evaluates your risk of chronic disease: https://lnkd.in/gthYiJtZ

What diseases account for most causes of early demise and decades of debility? - Cardiovascular disease - Metabolic disease - Musculoskeletal disease - Neurodegenerative diseases - Cancers And to a large degree, these are all preventable. Heart attacks, for example, aren’t just bad luck—they’re one of the most predictable chronic diseases. With preventative care and personalised risk assessments, we can predict and prevent heart attacks 6 months, 6 years or even 30 years before they happen.

If you're under 50, your risk of developing solid organ cancer has risen by >70% over the last few decades. More young people are getting cancer, and we don’t fully understand why. Although cancer is unpredictable we know its biggest weakness: early detection. Catching bowel cancer at stage one gives a >98% cure rate. By stage four, the best treatments offer just a 30% chance of surviving five more years. Learn more about how Everlab assesses your cancer risk: https://lnkd.in/g43D4YV7

Are you at risk of a heart attack? While you might not be sure, you may have heard of some risk factors like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes. But did you know that 27% of people who suffer a severe heart attack do not have any traditional risk factors, and often had no idea they were at risk? Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr Steven Lu, has been appointed as a principal investigator for the University of Sydney’s ESCALATE study to explore the use of genetic testing to help identify people predisposed to heart disease without risk factors. Dr Steven Lu says: "Heart attacks and related issues are the number one killer in this country, and they are highly preventable. By combining genetic profiling with biomarkers and advanced imaging, we can move closer to a world where we have zero deaths from sudden, unexpected heart attacks.” Join our waitlist to stay updated: https://lnkd.in/gsJErEae

We want to welcome Alex to Everlab’s growth team! Alex stumbled upon Everlab when he accidentally cold-emailed Sam. (It also turned out to be his first proper job). Previously, he was Alex Brogan’s Chief of Staff for his 700K audience, helped grow an AI newsletter to over 50K subs, and scaled a YouTuber's coaching business to over $200k ARR. Alex is a trilingual calisthenics beast outside of work, fluent in Russian and English and “fluent enough” in Mandarin. He’s well on track to reach his goal of 100kg weighted dips and 70kg weighted pull-ups by the end of the year. Have any questions for Alex? Drop them below :)

It was great to see Everlab featured in the SMH, discussing the impact of preventative health. I’m still surprised how often preventative care is dismissed as unnecessary or nice to have. We’ve had the privilege of working with over 300 members, detecting health risks early and enabling timely intervention. Having seen loved ones suffer or die from preventable conditions like heart attacks, I know just how critical this is. While GPs do incredible work, they’re limited by the system—making truly personalised, proactive care hard to access. At Everlab, we’re gathering a full patient context by accessing patient history and using technology to offer a level of personalisation typically reserved for the few ultra-wealthy. Our mission: keep automating, and making premium healthcare accessible to millions. Stay tuned for what's coming soon! Read article here: https://lnkd.in/gFNmT83Z
