Managing electricity supply requires coordination across a range of different electricity governing bodies, product and service suppliers. At its highest level, that includes those who support the operation of the National Electricity Market (NEM) such as energy ministers, policy and market rule makers, and those who support the day-to-day operation of the electricity market. For those just starting out in the sector, it can be quite an uphill learning experience. If you're considering learning more about us before starting your career journey in the sector or with us, here is a leg up (and good luck on your career pathway wherever that may lead). Regional communities like Albury, Dubbo, Marulan, Tamworth, Wagga and Yass hold the key to the energy transition. Why? Because recent network analysis shows there is ample capacity to host new renewable generation there utilising the existing sub-transmission network. Using the existing distribution network to connect new renewable projects seems logical. But this confounds the existing regulatory regime, because it proposes using an existing asset to do a different job. We are advocating for a faster and fairer energy transition. John Cleland recently spoke about it at the Regional Australia Institute National Summit. #RenewableEnergy #RegionalNSW #EnergyTransition

Decarbonising industrial heat is a crucial step towards empowering manufacturers and other end-users to transition to sustainable energy with cost-effective results. We were delighted to be the gold sponsor at the inaugural Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity (A2EP) Australian Renewable Heat Conference held in Sydney last week. The event brought together proactively engaged participants, including government bodies, equipment suppliers, and end-users, providing an open forum to discuss transition and the tools necessary to plan and implement change. Ian Askell, our Senior Commercial Specialist, also participated in a panel on securing support from networks and retailers, to highlight how collaboration can fast-track connections and upgrade processes.
