Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending the Victorian Food Waste Summit at the Hawthorn Arts Centre. It was a fast-paced day of learning, networking and collaboration - aimed at devising the strategies that will take us to the year 2030 with half the amount of food waste. Bin Trim Equipment Rebates Program is a new incentive by the NSW EPA on offer in NSW workplaces to reduce waste, increase recycling, and improve the bottom line thanks to a $6 million rebate initiative over the next three years. The rebate is available to any one business group as a total of up to $50,000, in maximum 50% co-contribution to the cost and/or lease of the equipment or technology, excluding GST, and any delivery fees, installation or commissioning fees, labour, maintenance, or training charges. This $50,000 total may be received in tranches via more than one successful application for the Rebates Program. Our recent pilot program in Melbourne proved the power of enrich360’s food waste dehydrators in high-rise living. Across five residential buildings, over 20,000 kg of food waste was diverted from landfills in just 12 months! Though challenges like cost-efficiency and engagement surfaced, we’re excited to tackle these head on in  future innovations. The Eco 5 operates on a simple yet ingenious principle – the removal of water content from organic materials.
