“We get zero emissions straight off the bat.” Founded in 2021, Electric Power Conversions Australia (EPCA) is leading the mining industry in the quest for net zero emissions. The 100 per cent Aboriginal-owned company is pioneering fully electric battery conversions of diesel trucks – with clear efficiency gains. A typical 1000 hp engine from a diesel truck is replaced with a 1120 hp electric engine. EPCA says its clients could expect savings of approximately $703,000 each year in maintenance costs per vehicle.

Last week we had a ball! 💃 We celebrated with the Young Engineers Australia Queensland (YEAQ) division at their winter ball. It was fantastic to see so many young engineers networking while being exposed to new ideas and technologies. A big thank you to our speaker, Aaron Broughton, for providing valuable insights on the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Infrastructure Program.
