Introducing Advanced InfoWorks ICM Training! DWS has proudly provided our Autodesk Water Infrastructure clients with >25 face-to-face InfoWorks Introductory Training Sessions across Australia and NZ over the past 12 months. The focus of the training has been to get new InfoWorks users/hydraulic modellers up to speed on how to perform water, sewerage and stormwater hydraulic modelling. During the past 12 months we have had many requests about the possibility of providing Advanced Training for hydraulic modellers that have some experience in InfoWorks, but want to take their expertise to the next level. We have listened to our clients and are proud to announce the introduction of Advanced InfoWorks ICM training, which is exclusively available to DWS clients. Here is a sneak peak of the agenda!: ICM Advanced Training Agenda: Day 1  Session 1:          InfoWorks ICM Pro Basics  Session 2:          InfoWorks ICM Interface and Customisation Session 3:          Pump Diversion Example Session 4:          Master Planning Introduction  Session 5:          Options Development / Assessment Day 2  Session 6:          Network Resilience / Reliability  Session 7:          Real Time Control (RTC)  Session 8:          Rising Mains (Set-up and Operation)  Session 9:          Receiving Environment (2D)  Session 10:        Water Quality  Session 11:        BONUS – Tips and Tricks    We will soon commence providing Advanced InfoWorks ICM Training across Australia and NZ. The Autodesk Water Infrastructure Water Drop workflow videos are a fantastic resource for the hydraulic modelling community! 👏

The Water Drops don't stop! This month, we’ve got a fresh batch of Water Drop workflow videos for you on the One Water Blog: https://autode.sk/4cbtN1t What's up this time? 👇 Midori (Patterson) Skold, PE shows you how we can take an InfoDrainage model, quickly bring it in, connect, and update a watershed master plan in InfoWorks ICM. Voila: You've combined site development plans with a watershed master plan. Ryan F Brown, PE, MS has part 3 of his epic 3-part RTC video series. He shows you how to balance the discharge from two tanks while balancing the total flow exiting the system, which is useful when you need to discharge from a tank that has the least amount of storage, but also limit the amount of flow getting to the plant. He also shows you how to switch gates at a point where the cumulative flow exceeds a certain amount, which could be used in a combined system where flow would enter a tank and once the storage capacity is met, the flow would be redirected to an outfall. Not a coder? Hunter Sparks, PE shows you how to use ChatGPT to write Python scripts for use in InfoWater Pro. We can’t expect everyone interested in hydraulic modeling to have an extensive coding background, but luckily advances in AI give us all the tools we need to begin leveraging scripts to streamline model updates and looking at results without needing to be an expert coder. In this video, we see how ChatGPT is used in conjunction with Github resources to quickly write and easily manipulate scripts for improved visualization of InfoWater Pro results. Finally, Tim Medearis – the man who started this video series – takes a different look at using Seaborn, a library for making statistical graphics in Python to develop unique and beautiful custom charts and graphs in InfoWater Pro. You can wow them with your presentation skills. It's all on the One Water Blog: https://autode.sk/4cbtN1t Fill up on more of the One Water Blog by subscribing to our newsletter: https://bit.ly/3TRpvpe

A new post from the One Water Blog of Autodesk Water = InfoWorks ICM 2025.2 is here, delivering new cloud tools, improved #SWMM diagnostics and import, and extended backwards compatibility for simulation results. Our development teams have been SWMMing through a number of important updates for SWMM modelers in the last several months. As we noted in our last release post, InfoWorks ICM 2025.1 enabled curve number infiltration in 2D zones, otherwise known as the CNSWMM runoff volume model. In this latest release, 2025.2, we’ve rolled out improved SWMM file import diagnostics, so you can leverage existing SWMM files inside of InfoWorks ICM more efficiently and with greater clarity. Joining this update is the new ability to convert 2D results to raster and download in the cloud, freeing up your local machine for more pressing tasks.
