We had a spectacular evening at the Old Courthouse in Fremantle for our most recent Member Mingle!   A massive thank you to Karl and Janine Buller for hosting at their beautiful venue, as well as Little Creatures for supporting the event.   Dating back to its establishment in 1899, the Old Courthouse has undergone meticulous restoration and renovation, preserving its historic charm while offering delightful cuisine and locally crafted beers. The venue provided a perfect backdrop for industry professionals to network and connect.   Our Member Mingles are an event series that provide an opportunity for members and industry professionals to come together to share ideas, make connections and collaborate. During the past week, Destination Perth attended the 44th edition of the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) in Melbourne, the largest annual tourism event in Australia, bringing together approximately 1,500 sellers and 700 buyer delegates from over 30 countries. This year, our team collaborated with the City of Fremantle and the City of Perth to ensure a larger share of voice for the Destination Perth region over 4 days of business appointments with global distribution partners, providing an invaluable opportunity to showcase our region's tourism offerings and to foster greater connections within the industry. #SeePerth #ATE24 #Tourism

Last week, Destination Perth attended the final Tourism Western Australia Regional Roadshow held at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle. The event invited industry stakeholders to come together to delve into the latest developments shaping Western Australia's tourism landscape and to provide input into the challenges and support needed within the industry to achieve greater business goals. Guest speakers included our CEO, Sonja Mitchell, representatives from Tourism WA, Tourism Australia, WAITOC and the Tourism Council Western Australia, who each shared updates on key initiatives and strategies driving the industry forward, including insights from the WA Visitor Economy Strategy (WAVES). The presentations were followed by a collaborative workshop, offering an opportunity for attendees to share opinions and aspirations that will aid in informing Tourism WA’s priorities and influence moving forward. Thank you to all those who attended, let’s continue to work strongly together to showcase the unique offerings Western Australia presents to visitors.

What a fabulous Member Mingle hosted where the coast comes to life, in Rockingham! 🐬 Huge thanks to the Philip Osborne and the City of Rockingham, Chad D'souza and the wider Perth Wildlife Encounters team, as well as Billy Stitch Distillery for sponsoring Destination Perth's second Mingle of the year. Industry guests had the opportunity to embark on a pre-event cruise where many spotted the bounds of wildlife that call the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park home, before enjoying sundowner drinks on the outdoor terrace at Pengos Cafe, beside the Penguin Island Visitor Centre. Our Graphic Designer, Lauren Furr worked alongside Australia's Golden Outback and some of their local government partners, to develop this engaging and comprehensive DL Z-Fold Brochure. This brochure aims to inform visitors about the Golden Quest Discovery Trail, as well as the Green Trail, and highlights the historic significance of the area. This brochure can now be distributed in local visitor centres and at industry trade shows to support visitation and exploration within the region. By harnessing the Design Hub's resources, local tourism operators can craft visually captivating materials that showcase the essence of their products.
