We love our clients and an excuse for a cheeky celebration here at dentsu QLD. The end of our office 'glow up' at 549 Queen Street was the perfect excuse. Inspired by our partners Good Drinks Australia Ltd and McCormick & Company, the theme was to choose between Cold (Coors) and Hot (Frank’s RedHot). Based on the choice, our crew donned either blue or red. Our friends at oOh! helped us celebrate in style, supplying games, drinks and most importantly enough KFC to feed the office and then some. Competition grew fierce in both beer pong and Connect 4, but it’s safe to say the real winner was putting some Frank’s RedHot on your chook and washing it down with a Coors Thank you as always to our epic dentsu QLD Dents-Whos crew who made this happen and the oOh! team.

💥 dentsu QLD's 6-week fitness challenge 💥 For the past six weeks, we have taken our fitness to the next level, with our very own Jacki Colman leading the charge. The challenge consisted of six weeks of body step exercises—a combination of upbeat, rhythmic stepping, squatting, and lunges to tone the legs. The vibes were high on the rooftop of 549 Queen Street, getting our heart rates high to some great tunes every Wednesday! Last week dentsu QLD hosted the final NGEN an MFA Initiative Brisbane workshop for the year on our rooftop, with a massive turn-out of 70 NGENers! The topic - Professional Career Growth, Personal Branding and How to Nail the Elevator Pitch when Building and Promoting Your Own Brand. Speakers included Bridget Sloan from Nine, Danica Luhrs from EssenceMediacom Australia and our very own Cameron Law aka 'The Barefoot Strategist' from dentsu QLD. It was a fantastic session, with each speaker providing insights from their own career journeys, intention setting, leaning into the uncomfortabe (in an authenic manner), and creating friendship bracelets with one word that defines their current personal brand/era! There were many happy Swifties. Thanks, NGEN an MFA Initiative and the Media Federation of Australia for the opportunity, and all the speakers & NGEN crew who leant in for a great workshop!

Last week, our good friends at QMS hosted an instant classic – the dentsu QLD Pickleball Championship! With representation from every dentsu QLD client team (plus a team of QMS’ finest), doubles pairings went head to head in the majestic game of Pickleball. With many swings and at least some dings, the intensity was high and the laughs were non-stop. Ultimately Josh Fick and Andre C. were crowned champions (aka premium pickleballers) with a dominant display across the tournament. Thanks again to the team at QMS for hosting, and for the fantastic photos!

Checking in with each other and ourselves is not just for RUOK day. Last week, we used RUOK Day as a reminder of the easy things we can do to connect with each other and check in on our wellbeing every single day. Starting the day with a walk and a coffee along the river, connecting over lunch away from our desks on our rooftop, writing "read me when" cards to provide pick me ups when you need them and ending the day with a mindfulness meditation that helps with separating the workday to be present in life outside of work. Taking the time to stop, breathe, connect and do small things that can make a big difference to our wellbeing. Every day of the week, every week of the year. #RUOK #dentsuqld

Last month, we had the pleasure of attending the Flight Centre Travel Group media upfronts. It was fantastic spending time with our clients, Kim Robertson, Head of Marketing at Corporate Traveller, and Kimberley Saddington, Head of Marketing at FCM. We gained valuable insights from the leaders of Flight Centre's diverse brands across the Leisure and Corporate divisions. With the office 'glow up' in full swing, the dentsu QLD team has spent more time apart than usual. So on Thursday, we addressed the discrepancy with a delicious breakfast organised by our beloved dents-whos team and rolled straight into a double denim-themed agency "All-In". It's safe to say we don’t mind a cheeky theme here...with other "All-In" dress code highlights to date including; "ugly sweaters", "country flair" and "band tees". It was great to reconnect among a sea of denim blue 💙 and rejoice, not just in the power of timeless fashion, but in our crew's amazing work and achievements over the last month 👊
