As part of Delta's apprenticeship program, we invest the initial six months in trade-specific training to prepare for on-site work. We celebrate two promising apprentices who have successfully completed this foundational period, Aiden (left) and Thomas (right). Aiden was honoured with the Excellence Award for the 2024 cohort. When did you know what you wanted to do with your career? Recently, our Learning & Development expert, Karina Braithwaite, and skilled Electrician, Kayla Fincher, attended St Peter’s Catholic College for the "Your Future" Careers Expo. Their aim was to interact with students before they chose their subjects, offering guidance on future career decisions beyond schooling. One significant insight from the expo was the interest among many young women at St Peter’s in pursuing trade positions. Congratulations to Taisia Nistorenco on her recent appointment to the Delta Board. Taisia leads and oversees investments in power, natural resources and heavy industries in her current role at Sev.en Global Investments. She worked for several years in international deals advisory on transactions in manufacturing, energy and healthcare and served as an external lecturer at the University of Economics in Prague. Taisia holds two Master's degrees in Finance and International Business from the University of Economics in Prague, graduated from Advanced Corporate Finance summer school at the London School of Economics and pursued a PhD in Financial management. Taisia’s main focus for the last three years have been Australian markets and investment opportunities. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and resides in Sydney. Taisia has previously held the position of a board member at Prague Finance Institute. Congratulations Taisia on your well-deserved appointment.

Delta Electricity’s CEO Richard Wrightson has been invited to take part in a panel discussion on “The Many Paths to Net Zero” at The Australian Energy Nation Forum on June 19th. The Energy Nation Forum will be held in Sydney this year and will have a firm focus on powering jobs and skills. The Forum will also discuss the opportunities and challenges flowing from the nation’s energy transition as it progresses towards net zero. Congratulations to April who is the recipient of Delta’s 2024 Scholarship at the University of Newcastle. April is in her second year of a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management and has a passion for studying biodiversity, ecosystems, and endangered animals. As the winner of Delta's 2024 Scholarship, April receives $5,000 to support her through her studies. Congratulations April, we look forward to watching your career grow! Sarah was honoured with the prestigious "Administrator of the Year" award for her exceptional dedication as a volunteer and Secretary for the Junior Surf Life Saver program. Sarah also serves as a patrolling member, dedicating her time on weekends and public holidays.
