About us

Davenport Campbell has been at the forefront of innovative design since our beginnings in 1977. Many of the things we take for granted in the workplace and in building design were invented over the years by our creative people. Our purpose is to help businesses transform the way they work, and building owners and developers improve the value of their assets. Today, our ingenuity can be seen in the world leading projects we have delivered for CBA, Bankwest, Telstra, IBM, KPMG, HSBC, Woolworths, Merck Sharp and Dohme and Mirvac. This work is only possible because of the continued investment in our people. We are deeply committed to doing great things with each other and for our clients. We are proud of our high performance culture, achieved through a focus on learning and excellence. With us you’ll get a partnership of clever ideas, a team who will challenge you and bring agile intellect to each project. We'd love to hear from you - let's start a conversation.

We are thrilled to be shortlisted for the 2024 Australian Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) in the ‘Workplace Over 1000 sqm’ category. The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is a global leader in prestige beauty, and the modern Australia & New Zealand Head Office located in Sydney is a diamond in the rough, cloaked within an imposing 1970s brutalist building. At the core of this building is a workplace that embodies luxury, softness and restraint, and is rich with stories, inviting all brands within The Estée Lauder Companies’ portfolio to come together under the same roof. We would like to thank Australian Design Review for the nomination, our awesome team, our partners, and our client, The Estée Lauder Companies Australia & New Zealand, for their trust and support. This year we celebrate NAIDOC Week by honouring the resilience of Indigenous communities, and we unite to amplify voices that have been silenced. The theme ‘Blak, Loud and Proud’ calls for a commitment to justice and equality, encouraging meaningful dialogue that shows value and respect for Indigenous wisdom. Davenport Campbell is proud to celebrate and recognise the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. #NAIDOC2024 #NAIDOCWeek #BlakLoudProud #IndigenousPride #Solidarity #CulturalHeritage #Unity #PrideAndRespect

One year after moving into their Sydney headquarters, Vocus continue to embrace workplace innovation. The challenges of owning and operating a 25,000km fibre network are balanced by a workplace that enables every employee to focus on their customers. Our primary goal was to support Vocus to operate at their best in this mission critical environment. In a reversal of conventional workplace wisdom, Vocus assigned one third of their Net Lettable Area to spaces dedicated to co-creation. This generous approach continues to encourage face to face collaborationand acknowledges that less and less work is taking place at a workstation. We are proud to see the workplace of this Australian owned company performing the way it was intended to, and the project narrative, 'simply brilliant, with every fibre’, alive and well after 12 months. Over the past 8 months we have supported the Australian Himalayan Foundation and the Rural Education and Environment Development Centre (REED NEPAL) to design and develop new classrooms for one of the most remote secondary schools in Durga Mahalinga, West Nepal. With minimal flat ground in the region, the excavation works are proving to be significant. Meanwhile, locally pressed bricks are helping to avoid the time consuming and expensive process of transporting building materials from Kathmandu. This work has been facilitated by the generous contributions of the Elevate and Educate Donor Circle. This group of likeminded and caring businesses from the property industry have come together to make a difference and support the children of this community to gain access to more inclusive, higher quality education.
