Yesterday we celebrated Crown Oaks Day alongside our partner, Victoria Racing Club (VRC), and over 50,000 racegoers. As the ultimate entertainment destination, Crown prides itself on supporting leading events, so we were thrilled to return as the naming rights partner for Crown Oaks Day, further strengthening our relationship with the VRC. As part of the day, Melbourne Cup winning jockey Michelle Payne led a Guard of Honour formed by jockeys to raise funds for the Crown Oaks Day community partner, The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, and recognise the bravery of kids who have received life-saving treatment at The Royal Children’s Hospital. The Crown Resorts Foundation was proud to pledge $500 for each of the 27 jockeys who participated, raising $13,500 for the Good Friday Appeal.

This week, we hosted Nine's Today Show from the Crown Resorts Riverwalk, showcasing our role in supporting the Melbourne Cup Carnival and major events that bring Melbourne to life. We’re proud to be part of the vibrant energy and tradition surrounding the carnival; contributing to the city’s dynamic culture and creating unforgettable experiences for visitors and locals alike. Our partnership with Victoria Racing Club supports over 1,500 jobs on-site and contributes $15-$20 million annually to local Victorian businesses and suppliers. Through world-class hospitality at Crown, our Birdcage Marquee, and Flemington Racecourse, we're dedicated to making every moment memorable. Thanks to Nine's Today Show for a fantastic week celebrating everything that makes Melbourne so special.

Crown plays a crucial role in training the next generation of hospitality professionals, with 10% of all Certificate III hospitality graduates in Victoria, NSW and WA getting their start through Crown College. We are also proud of the many apprentice chefs we train across our properties each year, as we help build the next generation of Australia’s culinary experts. Perth’s Apprentice Chef Coordinator Tracey Ashman knows better than anyone that the key to engaging team members is making learning fun – and this week it’s in the form of a pumpkin carving competition so our team can practice their precise knife skills. It’s one of the most anticipated events on the Perth corporate calendar. The Crown Perth Pride luncheon is back for 2024! This year’s line-up includes MC Joel Creasey, a performance by Reuben Kaye, and a keynote address by one of Australia’s favourite journalists and presenters, Narelda Jacobs. The menu has been crafted by celebrity chef Khanh Ong, working in partnership with Crown’s incredible culinary team under the leadership of Executive Chef Sean Marco. Crown is the proud proponent of this event which brings together allies to learn and celebrate inclusive and diverse work practices and champion safe and belonging cultures within our communities. 🌈 https://lnkd.in/eQS3cyDR

At Crown, we’re committed to providing a safe and enjoyable gaming experience for our guests. This week we are actively involved in recognising Gambling Harm Awareness Week and GambleAware Week at our Perth and Sydney properties respectively. To mark the occasion, we will roll out a national guest-facing campaign, with a focus on self-reflection emphasising the theme of; ‘It’s a good week to think about things’. The roll-out will include the installation of signage on mirrors throughout the gaming floors at both properties, encouraging guests to reflect upon their gambling behaviours. The campaign is an important annual reminder to raise awareness about safer gambling practices, the potential harms of gambling and the resources and tools available to guests through our Crown PlaySafe team, with our Melbourne property to commence their Gambling Harm Awareness Week in November.

It's always a privilege to be involved with the record-breaking Telethon7. With an incredible $83.26 million raised in less than 24 hours, we are proud to have contributed $2.5 million through the Crown Resorts Foundation. Crown Perth welcomed the incredible Little Telethon Stars for a memorable hotel stay, hosted the Telethon Ball and brought the Community Stage to life, and dozens of team members who volunteered in the call centre. We couldn't be more honoured to play our part in delivering this incredible community cause.
