Giving hope through science to rare and advanced cancer patients in Australia.
About us
There is often no standard treatment protocol for many rare and advanced cancers in Australia. Costs for treatment may not be covered by the PBS, leaving many out of pocket expenses. If a treatment protocol doesn't exist, then genomic testing can uncover potentially better and targeted treatment options. Unfortunately, this is expensive for most patients. Our aim is to provide cancer patients, carers and their families a small ray of hope by: - Helping subsidise molecular and genomic testing for rare and/or advanced cancer patients to see if there are any other treatment options. - Generating awareness of testing options as well as other personalised integrative treatments for cancer patients. - Advocating and lobbying government bodies to help fund genomic testing and subsequent PBS approved medications. - Helping rare and/or advanced cancer patients navigate the complexities of testing via arranging and funding "second opinions" with experts in your cancer and driver mutations.
