CPB Contractors has been selected by the Federal and the South Australian governments to deliver the Tram Grade Separation Projects, in an Alliance with McConnell Dowell, Mott MacDonald, Arup and Aurecon. Designed to improve safety, efficiency and the reliability of transport, the Tram Grade Separation Projects will also improve amenity, connectivity and liveability along the existing tram line from Adelaide’s CBD to Glenelg. Also key to this project are modifications to the existing overpass at South Road, with these works required to facilitate construction of the highly anticipated River Torrens to Darlington Project. CPB Contractors looks forward to further growing our partnership with South Australia’s Department for Infrastructure and Transport to safely deliver this important piece of infrastructure on time and on budget for the city of Adelaide. With over 40 years’ experience delivering city and region-shaping infrastructure in South Australia, we look forward to furthering our legacy in providing local employment and training opportunities, with a focus on diversity. There’s just something about that late-night #blitz #bliss! 😍 Over two weekends in May and June, the CPB Contractors team delivering Transport for NSW’s Warringah Freeway Upgrade Project used a 750-tonne crane to lift concrete pre-cast elements and pre-fabricated steel girders into place on the project. 💡#FunFact: all of the concrete pre-cast elements you see being installed here were created at CPB Contractors’ own pre-cast facility in Tomago, NSW. Our team are using mega pre-cast pieces to bring this project to life, as it means we can install in blitz-like batches, minimising disruptions to traffic and residents. ⛰️🌳During the construction of Perth’s METRONET Yanchep Rail Extension project, our CPB Contractors team has made the collection and storage of logs, rocks, boulders, and other items a priority… with the future delivery of the project's three new green bridges in mind.🧠 ⏩Fast-forward to today, and our teams are using these recycled elements—reclaimed boulders, rocks, and logs—as fauna furniture across the three bridges. They will provide shelter for smaller fauna and critters crossing the rail corridor for many years to come. To date, more than 90 logs and over 490 reclaimed limestone rocks have been placed on or around the three green bridges. 👐CPB Contractors is committed to honouring the cultural values of the communities where we work and live, and we were proud to work alongside NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Ngāi Tukairangi, Ngāti Tapu and Ngā Pōtiki, and local artists to bring this culturally significant trio of pou whenua to life on the SH2 Baypark to Bayfair Link project in Tauranga, New Zealand. Standing 6 metres tall and located at the southern end of the project, the welcoming trio represent female ancestors who once lived on the surrounding lands. Our CPB Contractors team is laser-focused on delivering the finishing touches on Sydney Metro’s Gadigal Station 👷 ahead of passenger services starting through the city next month… and alongside Sydney Metro, we were delighted to welcome City of Sydney Councilor Yvonne Weldon AM to Gadigal for a walkthrough with George Shearer from Transport for NSW recently. 🚶🚶 The visit was featured on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC)’s 7.30 program and focused on cultural elements, including artworks, the station name, and its significance in honouring the Gadigal people as traditional custodians of the land on which it is built. Concept Design Review = Complete ✅ Our CPB Contractors team is rapidly progressing its Planning Phase activities for the Woomera Redevelopment Project. Being delivered in a Joint Venture with Downer, the team's focus has now shifted to ensuring that all details align with Defence Australia’s objectives. The next stage involves the WRJV collaborating with key stakeholders in comprehensive workshops. These workshops serve as forums for consultation and refinement to ensure the design aligns with the National Defence Strategy. From workshops to rest stops⭐✅ Shout out to the local primary school students who are helping us not just construct the future but also celebrate the stories and symbols of the region's traditional Kaurna owners. Measuring between two and five metres tall, students have painted striking poles that will soon become permanent fixtures of the four rest bays that will line Main South Road’s future shared-use path. The rest bays will also incorporate other traditional elements, such as carvings and interpretive signage that will tell the story of Kaurna culture in that specific location. CPB Contractors is delivering these rest stops as part of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport’s Fleurieu Connections Alliance project.
