An #innovative #health #startup using a non-invasive detection method for heart attack screening is one of the latest #recipients to benefit from the Cook Government of Western Australia’s Innovation Booster Grant (IBG) #program. A total of $468,000 has been #awarded through the #IBG to 12 local #innovators to help build their #businesses. Funded #projects include using #AI software to create video-based training courses, a height safety work bucket and a #sustainable alternative to chemical herbicides in the cotton industry. The latest round of the IBG saw over 250 #applications submitted. The 12 #recipients chosen included more than half representing #female-founded businesses or #regional projects, which aligns with the #diversity and #inclusion priority action area of the State’s #Innovation Strategy. The IBG supports #innovators to overcome some of the barriers along the way to commercialisation, as well as build new relationships between #innovators, #consultants and service #providers. Eligible use of #grant funds includes research and development, product development, technology transfer and intellectual property, and commercialisation support services. Since 2022, the IBG has awarded more than $5.2 million to support 152 local innovation #projects. For more information see: https://lnkd.in/gKPmcwM6 Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation
