Ipswich City Council has flicked the switch on 100% clean energy! This agreement, which kicks off in October, will power almost 30,000 streetlights and major facilities like council’s administration building, Ipswich Central Library and Art Gallery. The best part is, it’s supported by renewable energy generated right here in Queensland and backed by our highly flexible firming assets like Wivenhoe Pumped Hydro! With more communities choosing to decarbonise, we are proud to lead the way in supporting them and look forward to continuing to work in and with the Ipswich community for many years to come. It was a pleasure to have Rhan Hooper join the team at Swanbank for a chat and to play some didgeridoo. Currently, Swanbank E Power Station is undergoing scheduled five-yearly maintenance which means there is a huge team of around 150 people on-site. Rhan shared some stories and music and presented some lucky team members with clap sticks to recognise their hard work and team spirit.
