CIGRE Australia warmly congratulates Alex Cruickshank for receiving Honorary Member status of CIGRE in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association, as Chairman of Study Committee C5 "Electricity markets and regulation" from 2018 to 2024. CIGRE Australia is conducting its first seminar exploring the issues and challenges associated with the high penetration of power electronic interfaced devices on the power system. The seminar will be held in Sydney on 29-30 October 2024. The seminar is an industry discussion on existing and emerging challenges associated with the technical aspects of power system performance, modelling, analysis, protection and control, and operation in a changing power system environment and with the evolution of power electronic devices. In addition to our open call for presenters from industry and academia, the seminar is proposing a high level of delegate interaction through facilitated discussions. Over the two days delegates will access keynote addresses and presentations, discussion sessions, a networking function and a concluding panel session.
