A huge thank you to the Brisbane Airport Hotels Group for prioritising domestic and family violence awareness through Challenge DV’s Specialist Training. By training their leaders to recognise and respond when DFV may be present, Brisbane Airport Hotels Group is taking crucial steps to ensure safety within its extensive network of hotels. We love getting feedback from our training sessions, like this message from one of their team members: "I had the privilege of attending a Domestic Violence Challenge training, and I am inspired by the knowledge and resources shared during this impactful event. Thank you to both Juliana and Tony for such an enlightening experience! 💪💜" Challenge DV's industry-leading training helps organisations like Brisbane Airport Hotels Group make a real difference in its communities. We partner with businesses to educate, advocate and empower people to end domestic and family violence.
About us
At Challenge DV, our vision is to create a world without domestic and family violence. We have been partnering with Australian businesses since 2001 to educate, advocate and empower people to end domestic and family violence. We do this through market-leading workplace programs, impactful strategic partnerships and powerful events and advocacy that unite a community no longer able to accept abuse or violence of any form. Our workplace programs empower businesses to be part of the solution by educating managers and staff to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence and respond appropriately. Our programs are tailored to meet our customers’ unique needs and are offered flexibly, with face-to-face, virtual or eLearning training solutions as required. Through our strategic partnerships, we connect people and workplaces across government, businesses, charities, frontline services and the community to create change and raise awareness for domestic and family violence prevention. We raise funds through events, such as the Darkness to Daylight challenge, and activities that we reinvest into research and prevention programs that make an impact to workplaces and communities across Australia.

The #FECCA2024 Conference was packed with insights, inspiring conversations, and new connections. Juliana, Saesha, and Enisy from our team had the opportunity to connect, learn, and share ideas with other leaders and advocates who are passionate about building a more inclusive Australia. Thank you to FECCA (Federation of Ethnic Communities' Councils of Australia) and the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland for hosting another incredible event. Our team returned with a deeper understanding of the unique challenges facing culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and how Challenge DV can strengthen our support for culturally informed domestic and family violence prevention. From community-led safety initiatives to addressing financial abuse among migrants, we’re grateful for the insights gained at #FECCA2024. These learnings and connections strengthen our work toward a future where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered. #ChallengeDV #EndDFV #CALD

Thanks to the incredible support of Celebrate for a Cause, the Bayside community, and our generous sponsors and donors, this year’s Regatta on the Riviera raised an outstanding $50,000! Of that, $40,000 will go to Challenge DV, and $10,000 will support the Bayside Community Fund. We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation. The funds raised for Challenge DV will directly support programs that help local sporting and community clubs recognise and respond when domestic and family violence may be present. We’re excited to start working with clubs in Manly and Wynnum from mid-November, strengthening our mission to build safer, stronger communities. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron! The warm energy and generosity of the Bayside community made it an unforgettable evening. Our team had a fantastic time cheering on the mini yacht race, playing croquet on the lawn, and dancing to the live band! Truly a celebration to remember, and we can't wait for next year! October is Safe Work Month – a reminder that safety is everyone’s business. Employers in Queensland now have a positive duty to ensure the safety of all staff, fostering healthier and safer workplaces. Since 2001, Challenge DV has been partnering with workplaces to raise awareness and prevent domestic and family violence through policy development, training, and more. We believe that creating safe environments at work is crucial, and we’ve seen firsthand how workplaces can drive meaningful societal change. Get involved this month by attending one of the many events happening across the state, and join the movement to keep Queensland workplaces safe.
