About us

Since 2001, BWS has grown from being the local bottle shop, to become the largest and most convenient drinks retailer in Australia. There is over 1400 stores across every state and territory in the country. We employ over 9500 team members who work across a variety of roles. At BWS, we want to be the unboring bottleshop and create a place where all Aussies belong and we only have three rules: We bring the vibes We invite everyone in We do drinks your way We know that our customers see us as their local bottle shop too, so we stop at nothing to make sure we offer a great tailored range that meets the needs of our local communities we serve. After all, we started as a local neighbourhood bottle shop back in 2001 in the Sydney suburb of Cabramatta, so keeping things 'local' is familiar territory for us! We make sure our teams come first so they can put customers first, and we back this up by a genuine commitment to industry best practice training and development.

At BWS, we are proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week as part of our ongoing Reconciliation journey. The Endeavour Group wide Reconciliation Hub serves as a dynamic space for all team members to engage with resources, events, and support, fostering a deeper understanding and connection with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culture. Last year, we launched our preferred dress featuring the RAP artwork "Celebration Place" by Riki Salam. This incredible artwork narrates two stories about bringing people together - one from the Dreaming and the other from Endeavour's story. Our team members at BWS can also choose to wear their RAP artwork shirts as part of their regular workwear, and you can visit any BWS store to see them proudly sharing this meaningful art. Join us in celebrating NAIDOC Week and and recognising the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

We are bloody stoked to be a part of the launch of BOX Alcoholic Juice, the brainchild of Aussie legend and our mate G Flip! When G Flip reached out wanting to make a drink and we all sat down and found out that their favourite pre-show drink was a juice with alcohol we knew we were onto something delicious! After many boozy tastings trying a bunch of nostalgic juice flavours we landed on Apple Guava and Tropical Bang to launch, two absolute winners! It was an absolute treat to work with G on developing the liquid and bringing BOX Alcoholic Juice to life. We were thrilled to partner with Endeavour Group on the launch of BOX and today the product is hitting BWS stores nationwide, followed by Dan Murphy's in August and we're just getting started! A big thank you to Sarah Hall Stephanie Petracca, Fahime Durbali, Nick Carr, Charlotte EL BAZ and everyone at EDG for all their support on this project. BOX is the result of a massive team effort and the hard work of a number of incredible people and it was a pleasure to work with Flipo Booze alongside CEA, Future Classic & Liquid Ideas Drink outside the box!

BWS and ALH Hotels, proudly served as platinum sponsors for Darwin Pride this year, supporting the incredible Top End Pride Committee in bringing the celebration to life! This year's theme, "celebrating the differences that connect us," truly resonated with our teams. We came together with friends and family to walk in the Pride Parade along Darwin's stunning sea wall as one united team, before celebrating under the glorious Darwin sunset! At Endeavour Group, supporting our regional and diverse communities is a key focus of the Endeavour Proud Committee. By showing up and showing our support, we contribute to creating inclusive spaces for both our team members and the wider community. We are honored to be part of such a vibrant and meaningful event.

📢 PSA: Did you know you can now purchase the Junction Street Vineyard & Co 2023 Pinot Noir in select Dan Murphy's and BWS stores in Victoria? 🍷 This vibrant Pinot Noir is the result of a unique partnership between the budding viticulturists at Upper Yarra Secondary College and the seasoned winemakers at Oakridge Wines. Our very own esteemed viticulturist Steve Faulkner has guided staff and students in the pruning, maintenance and picking of grapes for the latest vintage release, before overseeing its open top fermentation and 11-month maturation in premium French oak, and bottling in March this year. Upper Yarra Secondary College is the first school in Victoria to run an operational vineyard, and through its facilitation of the Certificate II in Wine Industry Operations, the school has forged several strong relationships across the wine industry in the Yarra Valley.
