About us

Boody® is on a mission to make everyday essentials that not only feel good but make you feeeeel good. How do we achieve this, you ask? Our hero fabric is bamboo viscose. We weave this into every collection we make. It’s softer than cotton and uses less water than traditional fabrics, which is why we’re ranked in the top 5% of B Corps globally. We started with underwear and have expanded into a considered wardrobe of everyday essentials, with the goal to help you create a comfy capsule.

    The Mumbrella Retail Marketing Summit took place this week, and our Global Head of Brand and Marketing, Ruth Haffenden had the pleasure of being given the stage to talk all things sustainability. The session delved into the consumer psychology behind successful sustainable marketing, exploring the difference between what people say and what they do when it comes to making sustainable choices 🌏💚🌱 It was a great event, and hearing from so many industry experts and brands shaping retail was truly insightful.     Today on International Women's Day, we wanted to take a moment to highlight the things that we are doing, big and small to increase our positive impact on those who identify as women and girls now and into the future. 💚 Supporting women and girls experiencing domestic violence This week, with our partners at Thread Together, we marked the installation of the 100th capsule wardrobe in domestic violence shelters across Sydney, with plans now underway to roll out the next 100. Women and girls often flee dangerous situations with nothing more than the clothes on their back, giving them access to choose clean, new clothing is an essential step in restoring their sense of self and the confidence they need to move forwards, at a time when choice has been taken away from them for so long. You can learn more about this initiative and the impact it is having on women in the video attached. ✨ Advocating for change in media standards Talking to our customers in a way that promotes a positive dialogue with their bodies has always been at the heart of our brand. This year we have been vocal and action orientated about how the dangerous stereotypes of women in adverts (particularly underwear adverts) and the media impact women and girls. Our most recent campaign "Make Yourself Comfortable" started some big conversations, with both out of home advertising operators and the ad standards regulators. Thank you team, The Hallway for helping bring this to life. 🏀 Fighting period poverty Access to sanitary protection is a fundamental human right and yet 1 in 5 Australians who menstruate are being forced to "improvise" keeping them from work and school every month. Last month, we partnered with the WNBL to firstly raise awareness for this issue through their players and annual charity round and also donated 1,000 pairs of period undies to those in need. 💕 Supporting women experiencing breast cancer Our partnership with McGrath Foundation entered it's third year, not just raising funds for McGrath nurses and Susan G Kohman with our limited edition collection but working hand in hand with them to develop a post-surgery product to better support women impacted by breast cancer in their most challenging physical time. #InternationalWomensDay

    We're excited to announce our partnership with Auckland City Mission - Te Tāpui Atawhai and Online Distribution to give back in a big way! Together, we're making a difference by donating several pallets of Boody, a donation totalling to 4260 units, aimed at supporting those in need within our New Zealand community.  ✨ What makes this collaboration even more special is the generosity of our partners at Online Distribution. They've graciously offered to pick, pack, and transport the donation for free, showcasing their commitment to making a positive impact alongside us. 🚚 A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this possible.
