Last Thursday, a few of our Brisbane-based BidWrite consultants had a fabulous time attending the Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN) QLD Small Business Expo. This event was an excellent opportunity for small businesses to showcase their capability and expertise in the Defence industry. Our thanks to AIDN Queensland for organising such an enjoyable evening, and to all the attendees who popped by our booth to say hello to Rodger, Paige and Anne-Marie.

These bidders were made for walking! Last month, a team of BidWrite employees each walked 7000 steps a day as part of the Walk for Autism fundraiser for Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect). Did you know 70% of Autistic people in Australia experience mental health issues? This event raises funds for services to support Autistic people – earlier diagnosis, autism-specific schooling, research support and inclusive, autism-friendly environments. Our Walk for Autism team walked over 2 million steps in May, raising AUD$1,606. BidWrite has matched that amount dollar for dollar – resulting in a total donation of AUD$3,212 towards this worthy cause. A special shoutout to our Walk for Autism MVP Richard Southern who topped our team leaderboard for both steps and dollars raised, earning him ‘Walker of Fame’ status!
