We’re delighted that construction has officially begun at 1A Constitution Avenue, Canberra. Another collaboration with Capital Property Group, the project promises to extend the vitality of the adjacent Constitution Place precinct. 1A Constitution Avenue is a hybrid structure with an activated timber verandah. The timber verandah is the focal point, wrapping the building’s urban frontage and filtering natural light through to the workplace within. When complete in 2026, the building will be fully electric and powered largely by solar panels, in line with the ACT Government's climate change strategy. Yesterday it was reported that the City of Sydney will allow two new towers to break existing height limits. Both will reach over 300m tall, smashing old vertical height planes. The proposals are welcomed by Philip Vivian, Bates Smart Managing Director and Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) - Australia Chapter President, who spoke to the The Sydney Morning Herald about the need to densify our CBDs. It is essential for our cities to reach new heights within designated cluster areas, and ideas like those revealed yesterday promise a “confidence in Sydney’s CBD.” The Sydney Morning Herald, Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Committee for Sydney, Julie Power, Michael Koziol

50 Belmore Street responds to a growing demand from government and private sectors for contemporary, high quality commercial space in Western Sydney. Located in Penrith, the project is part of a broader plan to revitalise the Penrith commercial core. Campus-style floorplates are arranged around a large, central atrium. At ground level, a pedestrianised laneway is activated by a café that also opens up into the building’s atrium. A design collaboration with Sandran Property Group Podia. Excited to share that another of our citymaking projects received an #ArchitectureAward over the weekend. Yukeembruk was the Winner of the Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing Award from the Australian Institute of Architects ACT Chapter. Yukeembruk is a student village at the Australian National University, anchored by Black Mountain, Sullivans Creek and the mature Eucalypts. A collection of six buildings sit respectfully in their surrounds, organised around a community hall and composed of a restrained materiality. Congratulations to our team, client collaborators.
