Her Excellency concluded her visit to RAAF Base Darwin with a message to the young aviators serving in the ADF. “I’d say thank you to all those young aviators who have chosen to serve. What I have seen already, is a career that is hugely rewarding. Dominating the maritime patrol serial at Exercise Rim of the Pacific! ✈️ With our #AusAirForce P-8A Poseidon dropping four exercise torpedoes on a US Navy nuclear submarine. In this exercise scenario, the crews were given coordinates for the submarine, the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Topeka SSN 754, but it was up to the P-8A crew to establish organic tracking and attack criteria. Warrant Officer Graeme Paroz's commitment to the RAAF is truly inspiring! 🛩️🎖️ Growing up on a citrus orchard in small town Palmwoods behind the Sunshine Coast, WOFF Graeme Paroz never dreamed his decision to join the Air Force as a bright-eyed 15-year-old apprentice engine fitter would lead to receiving his second Federation Star. It was big change from farm life, but following a long line of relatives who had served in the Army and Navy, including both world wars, Air Force felt like the right fit. “I still enjoy turning up for work each day and always try and get in a good laugh with my workmates.” Warrant Officer Paroz said. Touching down at RAAF Base Scherger for the first time! No. 33 Squadron with their KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft are making moves across northern Australia. 🛬 The squadron-led training conducted across north included formation and receiver training during the transit to Scherger. 33SQN was supported by 27 Squadron personnel on the ground, refuelling the KC-30A for the first time in Scherger. 📸 | SGT Andrew Eddie #AusAirForce

Soaring through the Pacific Skies 🌇 Multiple European aircraft from France, Germany and Spain have touched down in Darwin for Pacific Skies 24. This arrival is part of a combination of European air forces exercises, including Australia’s Exercise #PitchBlack24, in which the German Air Force, French Air and Space Force and Spanish Air and Space Force participate together as European nations. ✈️ Two Rafales and one Multi-Role Tanker Transport from the Armée de l’air et de l’espace ✈️ Five Eurofighters and two Multi-Role Tanker Transport from the Bundeswehr ✈️ One A400M from the Oficina de Comunicación Ejército del Aire y del Espacio ✈️ An Aeronautica Militare aircraft was also positioned on the apron as a show of European unity and force projection into the Pacific. #AusAirForce #StrongerTogether

Congratulations Flying Officer Keresi Farouk! 🏅🥋 FLGOFF Farouk, a shodan black belt, also received a silver medal in the senior women’s division at the Judo Australian National Championships on the Gold Coast in mid-June. Judo is not only about physical strength. FLGOFF Farouk said it was also about mental fortitude. The challenges in training and competitions instil a sense of resilience. “You have to anticipate their moves.
