ASI certifies Guangyuan Linfeng Aluminum & Electricity Co., LTD against Chain of Custody Standard V2 Guangyuan Linfeng Aluminum & Electricity Co., LTD has achieved ASI Chain of Custody (CoC) Standard V2 (2022) Certification for its smelter in Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, China. The Certification scope includes the facility’s aluminium smelting processes for the manufacture of electrolytic aluminium liquid. The company’s products are widely used by downstream aluminium deep processing users. The facility has a current output of 240,000 tonnes per annum. This facility achieved ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) Certification in November 2022. ASI certifies three Nemak S.A.B de C.V facilities against Performance Standard Nemak S.A.B de C.V (Nemak) has achieved Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification for its Nemak México, S.A. Plants 5 & 6, Nemak México, S.A. Prototype Development Center, and the Nemak México, S.A Melting Center, located in García, Nuevo León, in the north of Mexico. These facilities produce components for the automotive industry, specialising in developing and manufacturing aluminium products for e-mobility, vehicle structures and chassis, as well as internal combustion engine powertrain applications. ASI certifies Novelis North America against Chain of Custody Standard Novelis Inc. has achieved ASI Chain of Custody (CoC) Standard V1 (2017) Certification across its Novelis North America operations. The Certification covers the company’s regional management functions at its Novelis Corporation Headquarters in Georgia, USA, as well as its production facilities across the United States and Canada. These include plants in Kingston, Ontario, Canada; Berea, Kentucky; Greensboro, Georgia; Guthrie, Kentucky; Oswego, New York; Warren, Ohio; and its joint venture site Logan Aluminum Inc. in Russellville, Kentucky. The Certification encompasses responsible sourcing practices for these facilities, which perform a range of activities, including remelting, recycling, casting, hot mill rolling, cold mill rolling, coil finishing, annealing, beverage can coating and production, automotive aluminium product manufacturing, and various pre-treatment and finishing processes. ASI certifies Hindalco Industries Ltd., Mouda Unit against Chain of Custody Standard V2 Hindalco Industries Limited, Mouda Unit has achieved ASI Chain of Custody (CoC) Standard V2 (2022) Certification for manufacturing and supply of unalloyed and alloyed aluminium plates, coils, sheets, foil and fin products at Hindalco Industries Limited, Mouda Unit, India. The Mouda Unit was re-certified to Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification in March 2024. The company’s product range includes bare foil, pharmaceutical foil, and consumer products such as semi-rigid containers and kitchen foil. ASI certifies HMT Höfer Metall Technik GmbH & Co. KG against Performance Standard V3 HMT Höfer Metall Technik GmbH & Co. KG has achieved ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification for the production of semi-finished aluminium products at its extrusion operation located in Hettstedt, Germany. The extrusion plant specialises in producing aluminium profiles. The facility’s foundry produces up to thirty tonnes of aluminium billets daily, and the facility features two fully automatic extrusion lines. The facility’s processes include sawing, stamping, drilling, milling, and joining, with products serving the automotive and construction industries, amongst other sectors. ASI certifies INNOVATION New Material Technology Co., Ltd. against Chain of Custody Standard V2 INNOVATION New Material Technology Co., Ltd. has achieved ASI Chain of Custody (CoC) Standard V2 (2022) Certification for its subsidiary, Suzhou Chuangtai Alloy Material Co., Ltd.’s, facility in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. The facility’s processes include melting, casting, cutting, homogenising, profile extruding and machining for the manufacture of un-forged aluminium alloy billets and aluminium alloy profile. The company achieved Performance Standard Certification for the facility in April 2024. The facility specialises in the processing, sales, research and development of new aluminium alloy materials, lightweight aluminium magnesium alloy materials for transportation, and high-end products such as computer, communication and consumer electronics products. The facility has an annual designed production capacity of 250,000 tonnes for casting and 60,000 tonnes for extrusion.
