Our Queensland Recycling and Asphalt team, enjoyed connecting with local community and business leaders at last night’s Annual State Budget Update, with Queensland Deputy Premier and Treasurer The Hon. Cameron Dick MP, and Environment Minister and the Member for Nudgee, The Hon. Leanne Linard MP An insightful evening, talking about important local infrastructure projects on the horizon, Queensland’s Big Build in the lead up to the 2030 Olympics, and the government’s unprecedented investment in sustainability and environment. It provided a great opportunity to connect with our neighbours on how we can work together, especially Uncle Alex, Glenda Jones-Terare and the team from Kurbingui Youth and Family Development, and Neile Rosenlund and the team from ROSENLUND CONTRACTORS PTY LTD. —— Feat. Alex Fraser’s supply to the Cross River Rail, one of the largest infrastructure projects in Australia’s history, is setting a new standard and exemplifying the power of recycled materials. UNITY Sustainability Manager Glenn Hedges says Alex Fraser’s Green Roads Construction Materials are ideal for use on the project. “It was a win for UNITY because it enabled us to improve our project’s sustainability outcomes through the use of circular products, and a win for Alex Fraser who expanded the reach of their recycled construction materials into Queensland’s major rail projects.” #CrossRiverRail #BuildingGreenerRoads

“Few companies have invested as many resources into innovating recycled materials as Alex Fraser. The company recently bolstered its recycling network around Melbourne with a new high-volume crushing plant in Epping, which will provide recycled material for the neighbouring asphalt facility and infrastructure projects in Melbourne. The new plant represents a $13 million investment in the company’s Northern Sustainable Supply Hub. It will process one million tonnes of recycled material per annum, ranging from paddock rock to RAP.” Check out the latest edition of Quarry Magazine for more on Australia’s leading provider of sustainable construction materials, and its mission to build greener roads. 🚧♻️

Last week Alex Fraser MD Peter Murphy presented at Sustainability Victoria's Northern Councils Buy Recycled Showcase, demonstrating the sustainability outcomes that can be realised with the use of Green Roads Construction Materials on local infrastructure projects. Our team met dozens of local government representatives, interested in increasing the use of recycled content and reducing their environmental impact on projects in their municipalities. Big thanks to Sustainability Victoria, Hume City Council and City of Whittlesea for pulling together this important event for our industry.

On Saturday, Alex Fraser proudly sponsored and attended Banyo District Community Group Inc's annual Queensland Day celebrations. Almost 20 new Australians participated in the citizenship ceremony and were welcomed by Councillor Adam Allan, with some attendees flying in from as far as Darwin for the occasion. It was great to see more than 200 local children enjoying the festivities and snapping a selfie in hi-vis at the Alex Fraser safe trucks activation. 🦺 Thank you to Alex Fraser employees Caitlin Green, Michael Bellworthy, John Wanneck, Mitchell Uebel, Calan Jarmain and Nicole Bates who gave up time on their weekend to making this special community event a great success.
