Thrilled to share that Alder has been profiled in the latest edition of Business News as an early adopter and market leader in lead-free tapware! 🚰 "We have invested in research, design and significant manufacturing changes at our factory in China and are now actively marketing our more affordable lead-free range to building companies and product wholesalers" Sarah Fairweather, General Manager Alder, told Business News. "We've always prided ourselves on being an early adopter in the industry." Our vision was to make lead free taps affordable for 1st and 2nd home buyers and those on a budget; for the mass market and not just the select few who can afford it. Accessibility to lead free tapware and eliminating any kind of health risk, is the right thing to do. Australia banned lead from paint in 1970 and from petrol in 2002. Lead in taps is banned from 2026. With a shared focus on delivering customer service excellence at every touch point, we invited team members from all aspects of our business to take part in a workshop hosted by Amanda Stevens during our Sales & Marketing Conference last month. Amanda delivered an incredible session on the ‘Changing Face of the Customer Journey’, highlighting the importance of the role of curiosity in sales and the Japanese ethos around Omotenashi – to be of service. As Amanda puts it “we can only ever be in one of these two states. We can either be interested, or interesting, we can never be both. This month we bid a fond farewell to Sofia Petrides, retiring after a very successful career at Alder spanning more than 20 years. Starting as Accounts Officer, Sofia has been an integral part of our Accounts team for over two decades, often warmly referred to as Tony Alder’s ‘right hand woman’. Always up for a chat, or ready with a funny anecdote to relay, Sofia has brought joy to the day-to-day of this business since 2003 and it’s safe to say we are all going to miss her very much! We can’t wait to catch up in the not-too-distant future and hear about all the travel adventures that are about to unfold. Thank you Sofia, for all your hard work and dedication over the past 21 years. We held our 2-day Sales & Marketing workshop this week at the Alder Head Office in Balcatta, Western Australia. The workshop was headlined by Amanda Stevens, Australia’s number one expert on consumer trends and customer experience. She shared strategies to ignite us to deliver epic experiences for our customers. We spent time presenting our State based sales objectives and strategies for FY25 and FY26, as well as set the framework for key personal indicators. With so much development in the Alder brand space we heard from Troy Barbitta, our Brand Manager. Sharing the journey of the Alder brand, from transactional to emotive and our tag line, ‘Life is better with Alder’, with clear differentiation between the Alder Tapware and Vito Bertoni brands.   Also shared, were updates on our product development pathway and our transition to lead free production as well as Plumber lead technical training. Topping it all off with, not one, but two, celebratory dinners to acknowledge the incredible successes achieved through FY24. #lifesbetterwithalder

A great morning spent at Allam Property Group with our partners The Appliance Guys Commercial Division for a coffee and gelato pop up! This was a great chance to connect and get to know the team, all while enjoying some luscious gelato and cannoli, along with some piping hot freshly brewed coffee!
