We design with purpose

About us

ADG Consulting Engineers was founded in 2002 and since then has grown to a staff of over 240 in offices throughout Australia, and remains led by our founding partners. Our offices are located in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Darwin and Perth. These multiple locations bring us closer to our clients, allowing us to provide all of our multidisciplinary engineering, technical and Building Information Modelling (BIM) services required for both complex and simple projects. A multi-disciplinary service offering affords us a unique perspective and approach to design. We are able to confer with experts across structural, construction services and temporary works, civil and virtual design and construction departments under the same roof in order to deliver a complete solution to a project. This integrated insight allows us, as a team, to foresee risk, overcome potential issues and create seamless efficiencies in design. Our commitment to creative yet practical engineering is what sets us apart as technical experts. However, it’s the personal involvement of our leaders, combined with the importance we place on the relationships we build both in the office and on the job site which set us apart as a company. Through all levels of the company our culture is dynamic, energetic and creative enough to find opportunities for our clients and support their success at every step.

ADG Engineers are thrilled to share our involvement on new concrete bridge crossing at 829 Tallebudgera Creek Road. This project showcases our expertise in designing and engineering resilient infrastructure that serves the needs and safety of our community for years to come.   The new bridge replaces the old timber bridge that was damaged by an extreme weather event in March 2022. This event highlighted the urgent need for a structure capable of withstanding such challenges in the future, as the old bridge posed a serious risk to the safety and mobility of residents. ADG worked closely with the City of Gold Coast Council to create a solution that is functional, sustainable, and innovative, ensuring that the bridge can cope with the changing climate and provide safe access for residents.   ADG are proud of our team's dedication to deliver a high-quality infrastructure asset that strengthens the connections and security of the local Tallebudgera and wider Gold Coast community. We also thank the City of Gold Coast Council for their trust and collaboration and the residents for their support and patience. Together, we are not just building bridges; we are forging connections and safeguarding our collective future.   #weareadg #wedesignwithpurpose @CityofGoldCoast Silverstrand Sheng Dong Timothy Fairlie Brendan Teefy

BMD is paving the way to the Brisbane 2032 Athlete Village! 🏅 BMD has been awarded the $87 million contract for the first phase of the Northshore Brisbane – Street Renewal Program, which will lay the essential groundwork for the delivery of the Brisbane Athlete Village for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We’re excited we’ll be transforming the Northshore precinct with new and significantly upgraded roads as well as landscape and services infrastructure, including the creation of a sub-tropical boulevard along Macarthur Avenue, which will feature separated cycleways, footpaths and landscaping. BMD’s focus is on powering performance and leaving enduring legacies in the communities we operate in. Projects like this are an opportunity to create jobs and work with local businesses to ensure great local benefits as well as a diverse, inclusive and connected workforce. ADG DELIVERS INNOVATIVE AND IMPACTFUL SOLUTIONS FOR SOMERSET COLLEGE   ADG are proud to share our involvement in this project for Somerset College, a leading independent school in Queensland. Having engineered the roads and drainage adjacent to the flood zone, ADG Engineers provided Civil and Structural design services for the new Early Learning classrooms, a playing field with an undercover carpark as well as improved the infrastructure and safety of the school's drop-off area and external intersection.   This project showcases our expertise in creating purpose-driven solutions that enhance the learning environment and the well-being of the school community. We have used a creative approach to utilise the available land resources, such as building the circulation space beneath the hockey field. We have also ensured that the project meets the performance criteria, with different loading and founding conditions across multiple structures and elements.   The result is a stunning and functional project that the school community will enjoy for many years. ADG has established a reputation for delivering innovative design and economical construction. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with Somerset College, ONE PM GROUP. & Hutchinson Builders. #wedesignwithpurpose #weareadg Timothy Fairlie David Saul Brendan Teefy Check out some photos of the project through the below link: https://lnkd.in/gaA5HwEy

ADG Engineers is proud to be involved in the temporary works design for the Queensland Rail Accessibility Upgrade Program with Laing O'Rourke for Queensland Rail.   At Buranda station, assessment of the existing structure was required to enable piling works in close proximity.   Working closely with the construction team and our Geotechnical partners, ADG Engineers delivered a safe and practical solution which included the construction of a piling pad and temporary shoring of the existing retaining wall to laterally support the piling rig construction loading.

Meet ‘Bertha’, the 40-tonne piling rig just trying to do her darndest to squeeze into a space two cars could barely fit in! 🍑 The rig is boring 12-metre-deep holes as part of the piling works for the new lift shafts and footbridge at Buranda station. The holes will be filled with steel reinforcement and lifted in by a 70-tonne green crane and concreted. Foundation works has started on both platforms including platform retaining wall blockwork construction and new shelter concrete footings. Temporary bracing for the piling rig platform and retaining works are also underway right next to the Buranda station building.
